Longest Video!

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Here in the UK summer

has popped back again, and, as far as I'm concerned, is

very welcome to stay until Christmas! ☺

It won't so I'm enjoying it while it's here!

Today's video is the longest tutorial I've ever made - it's

1:11:11 long! The reason is that I try to pre-empt questions

and answer them in during the video.

To create the actual handbag I showed at the beginning of

the video, I used our Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty

Designer Series Paper (DSP), which I cut and then painted

with our fabulous new Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

This pack of DSP comes in a pack of eight sheets, comprising

of four sheets each of two designs. The sheet I had used for

the handbag has decorative strips along two sides, plus s six

oblongs that can be used as card fronts.

The first time I cut one of these sheets I ruined one of the card

front pieces, which made extremely nervous about cutting

the rest. I hope that by spending a few minutes at the

beginning of my video explaining the best way to dissect

the sheet, it will save other crafters from experiencing

 the same frustration I did!
For the video I used a different card front design, and I left

it natural, i.e. unpainted, so you can see the difference

and make up your own mind which you prefer. Again,

I wanted to give a short demonstration on how to paint with

the Shimmer Paint. If you would like to see the video but

are put off by these first two parts, please fast forward about

eighteen minutes and that will take you to the box making.

I have designed this bag to be big enough to hold about

8 - 12 of our Note Cards and Envelopes, depending on the

amount of embellishments you add. The overall size is

5½” x 3 7/8" x 1 3/8" which is a good size for lots of different

 gifts, not least, chocolates!
In the video I also demonstrated how I put a sheet of Whisper

White Cardstock behind one of the laser cut card front

designs before I started painting with the Shimmer Paint.

The photograph below is the result................ready for

another project!

That's it from me today. I hope you have a very blessed Sunday,

 and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
