Spritzing with Shimmer Paint

Hello, Crafters.

I made today's card so I could show you what a great spritzer

the new Shimmer Paint makes. Unfortunately, it's like trying

to photograph Wink of Stella Clear Glitter,i.e. nigh

 on impossible!
I took three extra photographs of me holding my card at obscure

angles, and taking close-ups and there's only a hint of the

shimmer in one photograph! I also combined this card with

using the Delightfully Delicate Laser-Cut Specialty

Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I felt sure I'd already used this design from the DSP but I can't

find a copy of it in my file! I decided to colour this card

front piece using one of our sponge rollers with Coastal Cabana

Ink, and it worked like a dream.

I used my Heat Tool to make sure the ink was dry before I

spritzed the layer. I used approximately 50% water and 50%

rubbing alcohol in my spritzer and sprayed it inside my

 homemade "spritzing" box!

I used my Heat Tool again to dry the layer off, and the resulting

glimmer is fabulous! The DSP behind the Laser Cut Design is

from Tranquil Textures, and although Stampin' Up! list this

pack of DSP as blending with Mint Macaroon and Soft Sea Foam,

I think it also looks great with Coastal Cabana!

I chose the sentiment from Beautiful You, and the flowers

are from Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and die cut with the

co-ordinating Framelits called Bouquet Bunch. I decided to

add some sprigs of leaves using the Sprig Punch which

will be available in the new Christmas catalogue which

goes live on 5th September 2018.
I punched out three sprigs using our Vellum Cardstock, and

then spritzed them with the Shimmer Paint. I somewhat

over-spritzed and they were drenched! I dried them off

 using my Heat Tool again!
The shimmer looks fabulous but it can hardly be seen in the

photographs which is really disappointing! To decorate the

inside of the card I added a layer of Coastal Cabana and

a layer of Whisper White Cardstock, and then adhered

another Vellum Sprig and a Coastal Cabana flower.

Above is the only photograph where you can see some glimmer!

Please imagine what that looks like when sprayed all over the

Laser Cut Design, and the Vellum Sprigs, and you'll

understand what I've been trying to describe! LOL!!

I hope you give it a try, even ifonly to see what I'm
talking about! LOL! I hope you have a great weekend,

and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
