Matching Thank You Card & EPB Gift Pouch

Hello, Crafters.

I'm pleased to say that my BOGOF had a good start yesterday, which

 made all the effort of correcting it when it went wrong on Friday evening, 

worth the very late night!

After the event went live yesterday lunchtime, I was able to do

 some crafting and made today's video.

 It was so relaxing, I made two sets of matching cards and

gift pouches before I started recording! 

I'm so pleased that it didn't take long before I felt the stress of 

the previous evening melt away, and it became a 

long distant memory! LOL!

 I made some similar thank you cards for last month's customers, 

and it was the way I did the faux bow that I'd decided I wanted

 to share as part of a video.

  I first saw the idea several years ago but I can't 

remember who showed it. 

To cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) into 1.25" squares, and 

the Balmy Blue Cardstock (CS) into 1 3/8" squares, I used two 

retired Stampin' Up! square punches - cheating but so much

 easier than actually cutting!

 I decided to dry emboss the white layer behind the squares as

 I was doing white on white and I knew it would

 help it to stand out more. 

I used two different arrangements for the pearls I added 

to the sentiments i.e. one had three large Basic Pearls and 

the other one had two medium pearls with a large

 one in-between them.

Love What You Do

Hello, Crafters.

Will I ever get bored with this Suite? I decided to make two cards 

yesterday that featured Designer Series Paper (DSP). For this

first card I used the Love What You Do Stamp Set, and

 the Share What You Love DSP. 

My colour combo is Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry, with a hint 

of Old  Olive! I started my card by stamping the flower stem

 twice on the left-hand side of my Whisper White Cardstock (CS) layer.

Next I used the Post It Note masks I found in the stamp set box,

 to mask the first three flowers. Then I was able to use the 

small branch of leaves stamp, which is from the Love What 

You Do Stamp Set, to stamp two branches on

 the first group of three flowers. 

Next I moved the masks to the lower two and a bit flowers, 

and stamped  two more branches. Adding the green

 branches made a   transformation to image. branches! I 

was really pleased with the effect! 

The fussy-cut flowers I used to decorate the inside of my card

 were from my first image that I'd managed to smudge. 

Fortunately by fussy-cutting the flowers, the smudge was cut away!

The silver pearls are from the pack of Metallic Pearls which

 includes 121 silver-coloured pearls and 121 gold-coloured pearls. 

These can be found on page 197 of the Annual Catalogue.

 These pearls, together with the Share What You Love Artisan

 Pearls, are two of my new favourites in basic gems! I'm 

pleased to be able to report I'm making good progress with

 the tasks I have on my to-do list before go to Alaska 

next Thursday - eek, it's so close!

 I've finished my 3D swaps forAlaska, as well as the accompanying

 video, and I have just three videos left to make! I had my hair 

done yesterday and today I having my nails and toes done! 

Over the weekend, I plan to work on my card swaps which we

 are requested to make complete cards. I have my card

 planned, so  I just need to knuckle down and get on with them. 

The card will also be video as well. So it's all coming together

 beautifully for me now!

Stamparatus: Stampin' Off Video

Hello, Crafters.

We have both enjoyed our four-day family break in the picturesque

 village and harbour at Mevagissey in Cornwall. Once hubby has worked

 out how to download the photographs from my new camera into my editing

 program, I'll share some holiday photographs with you. ☺

After enjoying some fabulous weather, we drove back yesterday in

 torrential rain, having left my daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren

behind to enjoy another five days down there!

Today's video shows how I made my April Online Customer 

Thank You cards.

 I decided to make a video of these cards because I used the stamping

 off technique with my Stamparatus, and I also coloured the flower

 heads using a small background stamp. 

 The stamp set I used was Love What You Do, which is available

 as part of a bundle until 31st May 2018, or as an individual product from

 1st June 2018 when the new 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue goes live!  

Hopefully all my customers have now received their copy of the

 new catalogue, and haven't stopped drooling over it since it

 popped through their letter boxes last week! ☺

Same Card - Reversed Colour Scheme

Hello, Crafters.

And all of a sudden, it's the weekend again! Mind you, it has

 been a short week for us in the UK as Monday 

was a Bank Holiday!

 Just by way of a change I decided to make two cards the same

 for today, but with the colour scheme reversed, i.e. one is Rich 

Razzleberry and Whisper White and the other one is Whisper 

White and Rich Razzleberry. 

The flowers are from the Love What You Want Stamp Set,

 which is in the Early Release Suite called Share What You Love. 

I stamped the images with Basic Black Archival Ink, and I used 

the small splodge stamp to colour the flowers.

 I did this by stamping with Rich Razzleberry Ink once, and then 

again on the second half of the flower so the ink was much lighter. 

To give the flowers some background, I stamped the largest

 splodge over it using Sahara Sand Ink.

I die cut the image using the largest Stitched Shapes Oval Framelits

 Die. The dry-embossed flower on the top layer has been created 

using the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder which is part 

of the Share What You Love Suite. 

 As with all the Stampin' Up! Dynamic Embossing Folders, the 

depth of the embossing is amazing! Details of how I stamped the

 actual flowers will be part of a future post! I chose the sentiment

 from the Cake Soiree Stamp Set that says MAY YOUR DAY 

BE AS WONDERFUL AS YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

 I only wanted the HAPPY BIRTHDAY, so I masked over

 the rest of the sentiment before I inked the stamp. After I 

removed the tape, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of 

Whisper White Cardstock (CS) and fish-tailed each end. 

 The banner looked very stark against the image, and I corrected theis by stamping over the sentiment with the big splodge stamp and  Sahara Sand Ink. Although the stamping is only just visible, it makes a huge difference overall. 

To finish off the front of my cards, I was somewhat 

over-generous with the Basic Rhinestones by putting three on the 

image, three on the sentiment and five or six on the 

dry-embossed layer! 

I added an extra layer or two inside the cards, and fussy cut a 

Rich Razzleberry flower from a sheet from the Share What You Love

 Designer Series Paper. I'm happy with how both cards turned out,

 but I think my favourite - just by a smidgin' - is the card with the Whisper

 White card base! Do you have a favourite?

Love What You Do - Rich Razzleberry

Hello, Crafters.

I've been itching to use this design from the Share What You 

Love Designer Series Paper (DSP)! I love the Rich Razzleberry 

and Crumb Cake colour combo! I used the  triple flower stem as

my image to partner this DSP, because the image is a very 

unfussy line art image.

  I debated whether to colour the flower heads using the small background stamp, but I decided to use my Rich Razzlebery Marker Pen to colour them. Once I'd painted them I stamped over with the whole image using the large background stamp, using Crumb Cake Ink stamped off once.

 I also decided to stamp the flowers twice and then I fussy cut them, 

so I could adhere them on top of the original flowers using 

Dimensionals. The reason I thought about this was that I wondered if 

stamping all over with the background stamp with stamped off Crumb 

Cake Ink, might distort the colour of the original flowers in the image. 

As it happened, I needn't have been concerned as the Crumb 

Cake was  so light and my colouring with the Marker Pen was so

 rich, there  was no discernable affect. I chose the sentiment from the

 Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set because it's so small; I didn't want a 

sentiment that would over power the image. 

I haven't decorated the inside of the card, but I'll finish 

that off today. I added a medium-sized Basic Rhinestone at the

 base of each flower, and a line of three under the sentiment. 

I'm finding that the Suite that's on Early Release this year, is much 

easier to work with than last year's Eastern Palace which I found

 quite a challenge. I'll really loving this Share What You Love Suite

 because I think it's so very versatile! I hope you're enjoying it too!

Fancy Fold: Open Step Card Video

Hello, Crafters.

Today's video shows how to make this fabulous fancy fold card, called

 an open step card! I saw it last week when a demo friend of mine 

in Australia posted an open step card in my Facebook Group

 called Happy Crafting. 

 I checked on YouTube to find out how this card is made, and

 then adjusted the measurements to fit an A6 (C6) card. I designed

 the first card around the Petal Passion Suite, which was really 

easy because the Petal Palette Stamp Set has co-ordinating dies 

called Petals & More, and beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP)

 called Petal Passion. 

 For the video, I used the new Share What You Love Suite which is

 currently available on early release, in the form of three bundles.

 I found the biggest challenge was that there are no dies that 

co-ordinate with this set, and I don't like to do a lot of 

fussy cutting on videos because I appreciate a lot of crafters just 

don't like fussy cutting!

In the absence of co-ordinating dies, I used oval and circle dies

 to cut the images, and I fussy cut just three yellow flowers

 which helped to balance out the design. I think the finished card

 would have looked rather bland without the small amount of fussy cutting I did!

 Overall, I think this is a fabulous style of card, and thank

 Lilette very much for sharing hers with us all in the Happy 

Crafting FB group. I hope you decide to give it a try, too - I'm sure

 you'll be glad you did! ☺

Love What You Do Thank You Card

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you've had a super weekend. 

Tomorrow sees the start of the Share What You Love Suite Pre-release,

 and today's is the fourth card I've made using products in this 

fabulous Suite!

I started by embossing a layer of Whisper White Cardstock (CS) 

using the fabulous Dynamic Lovely Floral Embossing Folder which, 

like all the other Dynamic Embossing Folders, creates a 

stunning look! The depth of the embossing is just amazing.

 I set my Whisper White Cardstock (CS) layer as close to the edge of the

 Embossing Folder on the side and on the top, because I wanted quite 

a large area that was non-embossed. I had already decided that I wanted 

to create this card without using the Share What You Love Designer

 Series Paper (DSP) as I felt I was getting hooked onto

 fussy cutting it! LOL! 

The only option this left me with was stamping an image, and I chose

 two of three possible flowers and leaves stems. After choosing which

 circle die I wanted to use to die cut the image, I drew a pencil 

circle round the inside of the die.

  I stamped the green leaf stem in the centre of the circle using 

Tranquil Tide ink, and then I had a look at how much I would stamp

 over the green, with my flower stem using Rich Razzleberry Ink. 

This was very easy as the stamp set is photopolymer, and allowed 

me the chance to cover up certain areas.

Using Post It Notes, I covered the area on the right-hand side 

where I didn't want my Rich Razzleberry to go, and stamped. It 

turned out I'd covered far too much and there were quite big gaps

between the leaf stem and the flower stem. Not being one for giving

 in easily,  I repeated the process on the left-hand side, and 

finished up with a much better effect.

 I used the brush tip of my Rich Razzleberry Marker Pen to fill in the 

flower circles as well as drawing in the stems I'd lost. It worked remarkably 

well, and I was pleased with the result. I stamped the sentiment using 

Tranquil Tide Ink, and decorated the edge using the Decorative Ribbon 

Border Punch so the sentiment had a scalloped edge to match the circle.

 I decorated the inside of the card by stamping one of each stem along

 the bottom. And not a piece of DSP to be seen anywhere! I thoroughly 

enjoyed making this card, despite the very fiddly part putting the scallop

 edge around the sentiment - I just wish I could get things straight! LOL!
