I hope you've enjoyed the Easter weekend, and haven't over-indulged with chocolate Easter eggs!
Yesterday I finished stamping all my swaps for Onstage next weekend, so all I need to do now is to adhere the card front onto one Flirty Flamingo Cardstock layer, then write and print out the labels that give a list of ingredients, plus my contact details for the back of each card.
Then hubby will adhere the labels on, and bag each swap into a cello bag for me - I am blessed!
Although I've seen some fabulous cards on Pinterest that have been created using this set, and I think it's a great image, I find it a bit unusual to have a wigwam being used for a baby card!
As you can see, my thoughts didn't hinder my creative juices, although I did change my mind about the actual design three or four times as I worked my way through the design.
I used the same idea as I did yesterday for the foil doily; that is, I used my Bone Folder to give the doily a good rub over to flatten the die cut edges on the reverse side, because that's the side I wanted to use!
Then I fussy cut it, and die cut a circle using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and a piece of Soft Sky and Whisper White Designer Series Paper from Naturally Eclectic.
The actual white of the design are plus signs, which is the same as the design on the stamp I used to decorate the sentiment strip.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and I used Basic Grey Archival Ink to stamp it in the centre of a strip I'd cut to fit the width of the card front; then I stamped a few plus signs, using Soft Sky Ink, on either end of the sentiment strip.
To give the strip a holey look, similar to the doily, I punched two Whisper White CS strips using the Decorative Border Ribbon Punch, and adhered them to the strip.
I dry-embossed the top Soft Sky CS layer using the Dynamic Basket Weave Embossing Folder and adhered it to a layer of Whisper White CS, which I then adhered to a Soft Sky CS card base.
This embossing folder was available as a Sale-a-bration gift which has now ended, but it will be available again when the new Annual Catalogue is launched on 1st June 2018.
I adhered the doily to the top layer using Tombow, and then the DSP with Dimensionals and the wigwam with Dimensionals, too.
I also adhered the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals.
To finish my card, I adhered a layer of Whisper White CS inside the card, and stamped another wigwam using Basic Grey Archival Ink.
Next I coloured it in the same way as I did the one on the front!
I now have three days left to get myself totally ready to drive up to Telford on Friday, ready for CentreStage on Friday evening, and OnStage all day on Saturday.
I also need to make a video for Sunday, which I hope will be showing how I made my swaps using the Stamparatus! With no to time to waste, that's it from me today!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.☺
