Hello, Crafters.
You may remember hubby and I stopped off on our way home from the Telford Convention to visit our friend in Aylesbury.
It was an exceptionally good visit because I was able to share all my swaps with Liz!
As soon as she saw the Easter Lamb Baby card that had been made by Crafting Alison, she asked if I could make one for her to give to her great nephew.
Please see the last photograph to see Crafty Alison's swap - as you can see, I didn't make many changes to Alison's design.
I started my card with a base of Marina Mist Card Stock then a layer of Whisper White and a top layer of Marina Mist.
Using the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, I embossed my top layer of Marina Mist - Alison used the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder for her swap.
To stamp my image onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock, I used our Basic Black Archival Ink. I coloured the fleece, the tops of the ears, tail and the "socks" using the Pool Party Marker Pen. Then I used the Blush Blossom Marker Pen for the cheeks.
This is a retired colour but it's really great for skin tones - it's a shame it doesn't stay as a regular product!
Alison sponged the edge of the image but I left my plain.
I punched out seven Pool Party flags for the bunting using the Banner Punch which will be retiring on 31st May 2016.
I'm not sure which stamp set Alison used for the BABY BOY letters on her bunting but I knew I didn't have it anyway! I decided to use my computer to generate my letters and chose a blue that I considered blended in really well!
We both used Whisper White Baker's Twine to string the bunting flags on. Mine were adhered to the card front with Tombow.
Then I tied two very small bows using the "bunny ears" method and then adhered one at each end.
I put Dimensionals at the bottom of each flag to adhere it to the card front. The image was also adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.
Instead of bows, Alison used Rhinestones to finish off the ends of the string for her Bunting.
Liz was thrilled with the card and hopefully so were her great nephew and his family. Many thanks to Crafting Alison for inspiring this super card.
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

New Baby Cards
Hello, Crafters.
I hope you've had a great weekend.
When I first saw the Easter Lamb Stamp last November, I knew it would make a fantastic new baby card.
So when I bought the wood mount stamp, before I mounted it, I cut the HAPPY EASTER off, then I adhered the lamb to the wooden block.
The sentiment was then adhered to one of the flat sides of the block.
I started my card with a Whisper White Cardstock card base with a layer of Blackberry Bliss and a top layer of a design from the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP).
This is currently available as a free product during Sale-A-Bration (SAB) which continues until 31st March 2016.
I stamped the lamb onto a piece of Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
I coloured her in using Pink Pirouette Ink and a Blender Pen, and I used Old Olive for the grass.
The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings Stamp Set and was stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink.
I layered the image onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss.
I attached the DSP to the Blackberry Bliss layer using Tombow.
Then I tied a ribbon around the lower part and tied it in a bow.
I put Tombow on the back of this, making sure I put some on the ribbon, and adhered it to the card base.
I added the image to the card front using Dimensionals.
I wanted to do a boy card in Lost Lagoon but found it something of a challenge trying to find a nice DSP in Lost Lagoon.
The only complete Lost Lagoon design on the Wildflower Fields DSP had rain drops/tears on it - neither of which I thought was very nice for a new baby card!
There are some lovely designs in the Going Places DSP Stack but felt they were also unsuitable for my purpose.
The design I settled on is from that Stack and I cut it so that I was able to keep the amount of black visible to an absolute minimum!
I'm not 100% happy with it but it does work.
Last week I saw a photograph of a stunning Easter card that had been made by a lady called Sue Farrant, who's from Surrey, BC in Canada.
Sue has used the Easter Lamb Stamp but instead of colouring in the lamb's wool, she had coved the area with small pearls.
I really wish I had a photograph I could share with you because it was just so beautiful. What an ingenious idea?
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Rabbits Photo-bomb Video
Hello, Crafters.
Good news, bad news.
I had a telephone call from the police yesterday to let us know, they have arrested one suspect for our burglary last month and he's appearing in Court today.
And they're hot on the tail of the second one!
The bad news is that I had so much trouble trying to get today's video uploaded onto YouTube.
But as always, when confronted with a problem, I persevered and won!
This is the link: Easter Rabbit Photo-bomb Card
Although yesterday's rabbit photo-bomb card was a simple card to make, I decided to make a video because I had some tips to share.
I also wanted to show what it would look like in a "non-girl" colour as it's a great Easter card for children and it'd be a shame if it was only sent to little girls.
Although I kept to pink ears, I think the Mint Macaroon is boyish enough so they could be sent one, too.
I also show you what this card looks like if you don't use googly eyes.
I have to confess that I didn't actually plan this! It happened because I couldn't find the googly eyes when I needed them so turned it into a positive that way!!
Another unintentional tip I share with you is how to lift something that has been lightly adhered with Tombow.
As always, I leave my bloopers in my videos if I feel I could be sharing a tip with you albeit unintentionally! LOL!
That's about it today.
Unfortunately, I'm running amazingly late.
So until tomorrow, happy crafting.

Rabbits' Photobomb Easter Card
Hello Crafters.
I'm pleased to say the my accounts were filed yesterday - many thanks, Linda! I have pencilled in a reminder for June so I get this year's accounts sorted in four months and not nine!
After Linda had left, I had a lot of catching up to do so I wasn't able to get into my studio till quite late.
I started working a on card I made a couple of years ago but updating it with today's products.
It took me four cards before I decided the first one and the last one were my favourites - cards numbers two and three were definite rejects! I now know what my project for Sunday's video is going to be!
Then I started to work on Wednesday's project. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and it was based around a Christmas card I'd made. Do you remember the penguin and snowman with antlers peeping through the oval cut-out?
The original idea for this new card was three individual circles with one rabbit looking through each at different angles but I decided they were too big! I could have used a larger card base but I thought I'd finish up with a large area of unused surround.
I started my card with a base of Blushing Bride Cardstock with a layer of Whisper White. The top layer is from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper that's in the Spring catalogue.
I die cut the aperture using die number 4 from the Ovals Collection Framelits. I also die cut a frame of Blushing Bride using die numbers 4 and 5.
Using Smokey Slate Ink and Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped three faces and six leaves from the Friends and Flowers Stamp Set, also from the new Spring catalogue.
Then, using my Blushing Bride Marker Pen, I drew lines along the whiskers and coloured in the centre section of the ears.
I added clear Wink of Stella to the facial features and the pink section of the ears and also added googly eyes. Then I glued the ears behind the heads.
To make sure I had the positioning right, I lined the top layer onto the middle layer and very gently drew a pencil line around the aperture.
This was used as my guide for positioning the first two rabbits which I adhered down using Tombow. After I had erased the pencil line, I adhered the top layer with Dimensionals. I used more Dimensionals on the back of the third rabbit but left the bottom part free to be adhered with Tombow.
I stamped Happy Easter from the Easter Lamb Stamp. When I first received this stamp, before I adhered it to the wood block, I cut off the sentiment and adhered it to the side of the block.
I felt I'd get more use out of the lamb and the sentiment this way. This was adhered using Dimensionals.
My final touch was to adhere three of the glittery embellishments that are in the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. Hopefully the video will be ready for tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, I'm off to wok - first day back since Christmas!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
