Easter Lamb Baby Card

Hello, Crafters.

You may remember hubby and I stopped off on our way home from the Telford  Convention to visit our friend in Aylesbury.
It was an exceptionally good visit because I was able to share all my swaps with Liz!

As soon as she saw the Easter Lamb Baby card that had been made by Crafting Alison, she asked if I could make one for her to give to her great nephew.

Please see the last photograph to see Crafty Alison's swap - as you can see, I didn't make many changes to Alison's design.

I started my card with a base of Marina Mist Card Stock then a layer of Whisper White and a top layer of Marina Mist.

Using the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, I embossed my top layer of Marina Mist - Alison used the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder for her swap.

To stamp my image onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock, I used our Basic Black Archival Ink. I coloured the fleece, the tops of the ears, tail and the "socks" using the Pool Party Marker Pen. Then I used the Blush Blossom Marker Pen for the cheeks.

This is a retired colour but it's really great for skin tones - it's a shame it doesn't stay as a regular product!

Alison sponged the edge of the image but I left my plain.

I punched out seven Pool Party flags for the bunting using the Banner Punch which will be retiring on 31st May 2016.

I'm not sure which stamp set Alison used for the BABY BOY letters on her bunting but I knew I didn't have it anyway! I decided to use my computer to generate my letters and chose a blue that I considered blended in really well!

We both used Whisper White Baker's Twine to string the bunting flags on. Mine were adhered to the card front with Tombow.

Then I tied two very small bows using the "bunny ears" method and then adhered one at each end.

I put Dimensionals at the bottom of each flag to adhere it to the card front. The image was also adhered to the card front with Dimensionals.

Instead of bows, Alison used Rhinestones to finish off the ends of the string for her Bunting.

Liz was thrilled with the card and hopefully so were her great nephew and his family. Many thanks to Crafting Alison for inspiring this super card.

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

    1. Hi, Crafting Alison. Many thanks for swapping with me at Telford! I loved your card as soon as I saw it and so did my friend! It's a shame the alphabet stamp set is being retired! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
