Delightfully busy weekend

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you've had a
really fantastic
weekend.

My weekend has
definitely been
very productive.

Today I've made
two more videos
- one of them
demonstrating the
cards I made with
the sneak peeks I
showed you
yesterday.

The second one
is based on the
Wondrous Wreath
stamp set.

I found out from my
Mother today that
the Father's Day card
I sent to my Dad in

Australia, arrived the
day after Father's Day!
(Father's Day in
Australia was on
07.09.14)

It's so disappointing
 that it takes a lot
longer for mail to
travel from the UK
to Oz than it does to
travel from Oz to the
UK!

It doesn't make any
sense ..............or does
it?

Anyway, Dad was
very pleased with
his card and they both
loved the style and
design of the card.

Still, at least it arrived
- better late than never.

Personalised Screen Card

Hello Crafters.


I'm happy! I have
a lovely five day
weekend, starting
now, to make the
most of and enjoy!


Today's card is a
personalised card
I made for my
hairdresser's birthday
as ordered by her
boyfriend.


Bella is a very good
customer and often
orders personalised
cards from me - which
helped Chris decide
what he wanted me
to make, namely, a
screen card.


 I always do the
"front" of a screen
card which means
it's like making
five different
cards all in one,
which is quite
a challenge......
......but a really
good one!




The products I've
used on this card
that are not Stampin'
Up! products are
the Happy Birthday
sentiment, the font
dies I used for Bella,
the birthday parcel
and the feather.


The Stampin' Up!
stamp sets I've used
include En Francais,
Happiest Birthday
Wishes, Flowerfull
Heart and Language
of Love.

Mossy Meadow Book Markers

Hello Crafters.

Today's book markers have been made using
Mossy Meadow.

 The first one I stamped the background using
Mossy Meadow ink and the large stamp from
 the Everything  Eleanor stamp set. I did the same
as I did yesterday. I checked the Mossy
Meadow ziplock bag and found these stamped
flowers from the Petite Petals stamp 

set. I adhered them in a totally random way making
sure a couple of them went off the edge.These
 two were trimmed to size.

I used the flower punch of the Itty Bitty Punch Set
to make six centres for the flowers. The centre
of each flower was drawn

with the white gel pen.

The final touch was sponging the edges with
Mossy Green ink.

For the second book marker I decided to use two colours

- Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.

I stamped the background with the En
Francais stamp using Mossy
Meadow ink. I found the large
stamped flowers from the Flower
Shop stamp set in the Tangelo
Twist ziplock bag and the smaller
 flowers from the Petite Petals stamp
set in the Mossy Meadow ziplock
bag!

As with the previous book marker,
I used the flower punch of the Itty

for the flowers. The centre of each
flower this time was made by making
several dots using the white
gel pen.

The final touch was sponging the edges with Mossy Green ink.

Tomorrow, I will show you this book marker with the colours
reversed.

Blackberry Bliss Book Markers

Hello Crafters.

Today's bookmarkers have been made using another new Stampin' Up! in colour called Balckberry Bliss.

I started this book marker
by stamping with the
Gorgeous Grunge stamp
set, once in full colour and
immediately again so it
stamped lighter. I did this
once near the top and once
near the bottom. Inside
my Whisper White offcuts
a piece that I have embossed
with one of  the narrow
Delicate Designs Embossing
Folders. I cut it to size and
affixed to the bottom of my
stamped image and adhered
a piece of ribbon over the
join.

I looked in my Wisteria Wonder folder and found some stamped
flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set and adhered
three of them on top of the image. 
  
As you see, I always
keep all images I have
painted, or embossed,
or stamped, or punched.
I file them in ziplock
bags in with the actual
card stock. I am very
thrifty!

With the butterfly book
marker, I found some large and small punched
butterflies. I stamped both with the En
Francais background stamp, punched out 3
smaller butterflys in Blackberry Bliss card
stock, and adhered them together. I cut the
bodies from the smaller ones (saving the
wings for another project!) - and adhered on top.

I'm not sure if you can see from the photographs (sorry about the quality of the close-up photograph!) but I spritzed them with a glimmer spray.

Tomorrow, it'll be Mossy Meadow.

Workshop Book Markers

Hi, Crafters.

I had a couple of hours of "me" time today and had a manicure and a

pedicure. I think everybody deserves a bit of pampering now and again, don't you?

My time in my studio today
 has seen me experimenting
making book markers. 

I used the Stampin' Up!
Scalloped Tag Topper
punch to cut out the base.
The colour I used is Hello Honey.

I used the Pleasant Poppy background stamp for the two Hello Honey book markers. It's not often that I paint - although I love doing it - once I get started, I don't like to stop! I used the Hardwood background stamp and stamped off once before stamping on the front of the base. I did the same on the back but without stamping off - hence it is much, much darker. I stamped 3 butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set using Hello Honey

 ink on Hello Honey card stock and then punched them out. I adhered

 them flat onto the poppies. I don't agree with making book markers 

3D as they are going to be crushed inside a book.

I used the same card stock and poppy stamp for the second book marker. I changed the ink for the poppies and used 

So Saffron instead.  I stayed with the Hello Honey ink for the

 En Francais background stamp I used behind the poppies. As before, 

I stamped 3 butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri  stamp set but on 

Whisper White card stock, punched them out and adhered 

them to the poppies. On the back, I stamped with the En Francais 

stamp in Hello Honey ink, stamped 3 butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri 

stamp set using Hello Honey ink on Hello Honey card stock 

and then punched them out. 

Hopefully, I'll get more time tomorrow to work on some more. 

I don't think I will use either of these book markers for my workshops 

as there is too much work involved for the amount of time we have.
