This is my first play with the This Little Piggy Stamp Set.
The idea of using our Smokey Slate Gingham Ribbon as a skirt, is from the Thailand swap I received from Laetitia Boidevaix.
If you saw my video of swaps you may remember the pink pig in the little Acetate Gift Box, wearing the ribbon skirt.
Using Archival Basic Black Ink I stamped the pig and flower onto a piece of Whisper White CS, and again on some Pink Pirouette CS.
On the white image, I used my Pear Pizzazz Marker Pen for the leaf, as well as the stalks of grass.
As we don't sell this any more, when my pen runs out, I'll use the Crushed Curry Marker Pen, and then go over it with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, which we do still sell!
On the pink pig image, I used the Pink Pirouette pen to paint the hooves, the snout and the shadow line just inside her right ear!
Then I cut her out, and adhered her on top of the white pig image.
I took a short piece of of our Smokey Slate Gingham Ribbon, and stitched the side piece down to hide the cut edge.
Then I did a short running stitch along the length of the ribbon.
As it turned out the skirt was too big, but I was able to adjust this by adhering it down using Glue Dots!
I stamped six daisies from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set using Smokey Slate Ink onto Pink Piroutte CS, and then I fussy cut them!
I started to put my card together starting with a base of Smokey Slate Cardstock (CS), with a layer of Pink Pirouette CS, and a top layer of Whisper White CS.
I used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Embossing Folder for the top layer, and have to say the result is amazingly visible, very tactile!
I die cut the pig image using the largest Stitched Shape Oval Framelit Die and layered it onto a scalloped Layering Ovals Framelits die in Smokey Slate CS.
Inside the card I adhered a layer of Pink Pirouette CS, as well as a top layer of Whisper White CS.
The final touch was to adhere the sixth fussy cut flower in the bottom right hand corner.
This is certainly a fun stamp set! This is it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
