Last of my storage ideas!

Hello, Crafters.

Today's the last day for sharing my storage ideas. If I've missed anything, please feel free to ask. 

Photograph 1: I bought these are two nail varnish bottle display racks from a beauty salon supplier. They're an ideal size for our re-inker bottles. On the second shelf, you'll see I have three reels of retired Baker's Twine with bottles of Dazzling Details sitting in them upside down - looks like one reel has disappeared! This means I can take one bottle and the others won't fall over! If you look down to the first shelf under the last line of re-inkers, that's the top of the second unit. On the right-hand side, I have some small oblong business card holder clear plastic boxes that hold brads, punched stars in Garden Green, and punched Stars in Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper. Sitting on top of these boxes are some of our empty powder jars which also hold punched shapes - stars and hearts. The next rows are retired coloured embossing powders, current embossing powders, buttons, pegs and Washi Tape. The embossing powder jars fit in on their side; accessory containers fit on a shelf one thick and one thin together and the Washi Tape sits on the shelf "fence" and rests against the wall. I have found these units exceedingly useful! 

Photograph 2: I'm sure many of you will recognise the tray I have my current punches in! It's the top shelf from the IKEA storage unit on wheels that's a must-have for all crafters. The rest of the unit is on the floor under my desk. It was too tall to fit under my desk and in the absence of having somewhere else sensible to put it, I decided on this arrangement. I adhered a complete sheet of cork to the bottom of this unit before I sat it on my desk just in case it caused any scratching. The top shelf of the unit under my desk holds my retired punches! If you look at the bottom left-hand corner of this photograph you can just about see my cardstock filing trolley in situ and move your eyes northwards, you'll see the base of the nail varnish units. On the right-hand side of the photograph, you see a wooden unit which holds my ink pads. See the next photograph.

Photograph 3: this is how I store my ink pads - this is two units side by side. The left-hand side and the top six in the first column of the next unit are all current colours. All the others are retired and should be marked with a blue dot - I think there are five not marked! This unit wasn't from Storage 4Crafts. If you're lucky to live in the US, and Canada (?) you can buy a similar unit to this but it also has holes by the side of each pad that holds the matching marker pen and re-inker. Oh, boy, I wish they shipped to the UK! 

Photograph 4: this is how I store my current stamp sets. These are two DVD storage towers from IKEA. The top few shelves are year round stamp sets which are followed by Christmas stamp sets. They're in alphabetical order in their section so I can look through my display book to decide which set I want to use and then locate it easily.

Photographs 5: This is the wall behind my back when I'm at sitting at my desk. Hopefully, you can see lots of things I've shared with you this week! For example, the three units that hold my full sheets of cardstock, acetate, magnets, etc. which I said had a large plank of wood connecting the three together, giving me extra storage above and below! In the gap between the first two units, is where I store my display folders for my stamp sets and the folder for my dies and TIEFs (left-hand side of the pens). The pens include my marker pens, Blendabilities and Sharpies. In the next cubby hole, you can see the baskets I store my dies in. The bigger units you can see at the very end holds 12" x 12" non-SU patterned paper and are from Storage4Crafts.

There's not too much to say about the top shelf! This is where I keep things I don't use often, like my embossing machine, ATG gun, Sizzix Eclipse (electronic cutter). The four plastic boxes are for my white, clear and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and my Dazzling Diamonds.

At the end, on the right-hand side, you can see the nail varnish display units and at the bottom, a tiny corner of the ink pad storage unit which is sitting at the end of my desk.

The main storage unit is available in different sizes and you choose how many drawers you want. They come as 1", 2" and 3.5" deep, and also the paper tray. Thanks to hubby, I bought exactly the right number of the right size! I achieved this by hubby buying one each of the three sizes of trays. I very patiently went through everything I had and calculated what I needed. I was amazed that my calculations were spot on. Since I first bought my units, I've joined Stampin' Up! and my needs have changed. For example, the 1" trays you see at the top of the fourth column from the left, still holds my non-SU wooden stamps. The beauty of this storage system is that if I sell those stamps, I can replace these trays with larger ones.
