Ho! Ho! Ho! Video

Hello, Crafters.

This morning I uploaded my Ho! Ho! Ho! video which shows how I made the Christmas card I shared with you here on last Monday.

As normal, I changed the colour scheme from Cherry Cobbler to Real Red and I definitely prefer the Real Red! It's much more vivid, happier!

There are several things I really like about this card.

First of  all, I like the idea of putting the little dots of white on the Softly Falling snow.

I love this embossing folder and won't be putting the dots on the falling snow every time I use it, but I think it makes a nice occasional change.

I was also very pleased with the Brushwork Alphabet Stamp Set, too.

It was so easy to get the letters lined up that I really must try using it for personalising cards.

I'll keep you posted how I get on with that.

Another idea I've used on this card that I haven't used for a very long time is putting the line of Dazzling Diamonds around the edges of the Ho! Ho! Ho! circles.

I did think about doing it to the wishlist, too but thought it might be overkill.

I know I would have gone on and done it to the sentiment as well!

Maybe I'll make another one and put glitter around them all! Watch this space!

This is the first time I've used our Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Dazzling Diamonds and I was really pleased with how easy and how effective it is.

However, I stocked up with our Two-way Glue Pen when it was on the Clearance Rack and that will keep me going for quite some time!

That's about it from me today. I'm off to finish the last few remaining swaps for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local Convention in Telford next Saturday.

It's also hubby's birthday next Saturday so, as a treat, I'm taking him up to Telford with me! LOL!

Seriously, we're travelling up on Thursday and we're celebrating his birthday early by going out together for a special meal!

I wish you all a happy Sunday and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. Very, very cute card and I have to say, I too prefer the brighter red version, after seeing the two together. Love the detailing of the Softly Falling embossed background with the gel pen too! Amazing patience, but ... I can do that too! Thank you Jan for another great video!!

    1. Hi, Geraldine. I'm glad you like the idea of the snow. It's nice to find ideas that are a bit different, even if they do need a lot of patience! ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.

  2. Hi Jan,
I don't mean to criticize, but don't you think Santa looks like he's floating in mid air, maybe a snow bank to stand on,etc...Ann in Canada
