Stamps, Dies & TIEF Storage and keeping track!

Hello, Crafters.

Take 2! I was making good progress with today's blog when it just disappeared and Firefox closed itself down!

First of all the good news. Rodney Potter is history! This is the guy who hijacked 47 of my videos on YouTube and reuploaded them as his own! His account has been closed. I don't know if YouTube will follow through with this copyright infringement, but I'm just happy to get on with my life.

Today's storage includes 12"x12" Designer Series Paper (DSP), cardstock and miscellaneous 12"x12" sheets.
 
Photograph 1 - 3 - these show two columns out of three that make up one complete unit. 

The first column holds my colour family's DSP stacks, including the two current InColour stacks. 

I'm not sure you'll be able to read what the labels at the end of the shelves read but on the left-hand side it's the name of the DSP e.g. Candy Cane Lane. 

On the right-hand side of the tray, there's a list of the coordinating colours for that set. The tray without a name is a new set of DSP that arrived on Wednesday. 

The next two trays only have names on the left-hand side because they are both white so you can use them as white or colour them any colour of your choice. 

One is called Fancy Frost Specialty DSP and the other one is call Irresitibly Floral Specialty DSP. 

In the right-hand column I have separate trays for Foil, Glimmer Paper, Acetate, Fabulous Foil Acetate, four trays of Envelope Paper including the retired  Kraft, Whisper White and Very Vanilla. 

The rest of the trays are 12"x12" cardstock, largely by family, but also Whisper White, Vanilla and Basic Black. With the exception of the Foil and Glimmer paper, I have a plastic wallet on each shelf for the offcuts!

 Photographs 4 - 6: I use Display Folders that have either 20 or 40 clear wallets inside, to help me keep track of which stamp sets, dies and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (TIEF).

I put the stamp set, dies, or embossing folder wallets onto the photocopier and copy them as they are. 
 
When I'm ready to make a card, and I need a particular sentiment or something that I can't think if I have it on a stamp or I don't know what the stamp set is, it's so easy to flick through my book.

More often than not, I finish up with several options. I find I really get the most out of my stamp sets this way. 
Frequently I see a great alternative. 

I do the same with my dies and my embossing folders. But a much smaller display book. This really comes into its own when I want a particular die e.g. a bird. I can go through the folder, find which dies sets have birds. 

All the physical stamp sets, dies and TIEF's are filed in alphabetical order so they're easy to find!
