Mistletoe

Hello, Crafters.

After the frivolity of the last couple of days - cutting off Santa's ears and mischievous koalas -  today's card is clean and simple.

I'm really loving the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) that's available in the Christmas catalogue - see page 37.

It arrived with my order on Wednesday and this is the third of the six designs I've used so far.

I had planned to use the diagonal stripe pattern for today's card but it looked so bland against the mistletoe, I chose a far more busy design and love it!

I started my card with a base of Real Red Cardstock, with a layer of Mint Macaroon and a top layer of the Fancy Frost DSP.

I adhered them together using Tombow.

Using Jet Black Stazon Ink, I stamped the mistletoe image from the Banners of Christmas Stamp Set, onto a piece of Whisper White.

Using my Mint Macaroon Marker Pen, I coloured all the leaves and put a little line of the ink around the lower edge of all the berries.

Although it doesn't show in the photographs, I also painted the berries using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

I layered the image onto a piece of Mint Macaroon, and then a layer of Real Red.

Using some 3/8" Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon, I tied a bow and adhered it to the mistletoe with a Glue Dot.

I chose the Across the Miles sentiment that comes in the Holly Berry Happinness Stamp Set.

Using Jet Black Stazon Ink, I stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock.

I didn't want to add layers to this, so I used my Triple Banner Punch to fishtail both ends.

I placed the sentiment and image onto the cardfront to decide on positioning, and once decided I added the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Then I was able to adhere the image in a central position using Tombow.

We're ready to set off to Folkestone now so I can go to Kim's Crafty Retreat - looks like I'm going to be on time. YAY!

I hope you have  great weekend. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
