Craft Retreat - Day 1 Edited

PLEASE NOTE: this post has been edited. JanB

Hello, Crafters.

This morning, I uploaded my video showing how I made the koalas in the card I shared with you on Thursday. I hope you enjoy it! ☺

We had a very comfortable drive down to Folkestone yesterday morning which took just under 1.5 hours - a fair bit quicker than the couple of hours I'd thought it would be!

Most people had already arrived for the craft retreat that had been organised by Kim Fee and Caroline Hallett.

The photograph at the top of thi page was taken when I was standing by the stamping table. This is almost identical to the view I had from where I was sitting, too.

When I returned to my room, hubby was there waitiing and he pointed to two pillow gifts that had been left for me.

The first one was a gift-wrapped bottle of wine which had a pouch added to the side to hold a bar of chocolate. What a great idea that is!

After getting washed and changed, we went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner.

After dinner we returned to our room and received a telephone call from our daughter. She'd been taken to hospital with suspected appendcitus!

It all turned out to be a false alarm - thank God - and was allowed to go home. She has to have scans and tests etc. to see if she has an grumbling appendix.

I spoke to her a few moments ago and she had a quiet night and is getting ready to go yto church, so I'll catch up with her later.

I'm late for day 2, so I must dash. Happy Sunday. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. Love your Craft Retreat Ideas...would you think about doing a video on the Wrapped Bottle idea. I'm sure there are others that would just love to make these.

    1. Hi, Ellen. It was a great idea, I agree. The one I received was made from a kit that was available from the catalogue last year! It'll be relatively easy to work out how to make one from scratch but I'm not sure how sturdy it'll be. I'm more than happy to have a play with it and see what I come up with. You're right! I firmly believe that if one person asks for something, there'll be others who'd like it, too! Thanks for asking, Ellen. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
