Simple Glimmer Wedding Card & Michelle's Kelly's Box Bag

Hello, Crafters.

I was having a little tidy up on my desk yesterday and came across a couple of die cuts which prompted me to make today's card.

It's so amazingly quick and easy for such an elegant card!

I was going to put a silver flower with a white centre on instead of the all white card and make it a 25th wedding anniversary card. 

This idea could be followed through for 40th Ruby wedding anniversary - red flower - or 50th gold wedding anniversary, and so on!

To make this card I started with a Whisper White Card base, then a layer of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and a top layer of Whisper White.

The top layer is exactly the same size as the glimmer paper layer underneath, or could be a tad shorter/narrower.

I die cut the top layer using the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. 

The sentiments, which are both from the Best Birds Stamp Set, are actually two individual stamps that I mounted on a block together.

I used Smokey Slate Ink and stamped directly onto my die cut towards the right hand side.

The best glue to use to adhere Glimmer Paper is Glue Dots but there aren't any areas in the Detailed Floral die cut to place a glue dot down flat. 

So I lifted one Glue Dot at a time and rolled it into a sausage shape, before placing it in a large area. 

I found with the sausage shape I could bend the Glue Dot to go round corners! 

I put one in each corner of the die cut, then half way across the top and the bottom, then down the sides and two or three in random places across the centre.  

I used the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies and Whisper White Cardstock to make the flower.

I adhered the two layers together with Tombow and put an over-sized Pearl in the centre. 

If I remember correctly, the Pearl came from the Artisan xxxxxx Pack - I can't remember the full name. 

The final step was to use Tombow to adhere the flower to the card - as I said, a quick and easy, elegant card!

She very kindly tagged me when she posted it on Facebook.

Although Michelle's bag looks identical to mine, it is in fact, two thirds smaller!

She used a piece of cardstock which measured 8" x 8" - in my video my cardstock was 12" x 12".

The finished size of Michelle's bag is: height 3", width 4" and depth 2" - again, many thanks for sharing MIchelle.
