Sweet Sugarplum Falling Flowers

Hello, Crafters.

What a great month June has been for me! Stampin' Up! have been running a special promotion for new demonstrators. To create today's card, I've used the Falling Flowers Stamp Set and the May Flowers Framelits Dies. I started with a Whisper White Cardstock base, with a layer of Sweet Sugarplum and a top layer of Whisper White.

I used Wild Wasabi Ink to stamp the large swirly stamp one way up and then I turned it 180° to stamp it facing the first image. I squeezed some Wild Wasabi Ink into the lid and used my Blender Pen to colour the leaves very lightly. 

Then I stamped six images of the small pom-pom flower in Sweet Sugarplum Ink onto a piece of Whisper White. I used the Basic Black Archival Ink to stamp the multi-petal flower  onto another piece of Whisper White. 

Again, using my Blender Pen and Sweet Sugarplum Ink that I'd squeezed into the lid, I painted the flower. For the centre I used my Daffodil Delight Marker Pen. 

Using the appropriate dies from the May Flower Framelits Dies, I die cut all seven flowers and then painted them using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. When I painted the six pom-pom flowers, I went over each section a few times so the colour ran very slightly to give them a pink hue. 

Using one of the scalloped dies from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies, I die cut a circle in Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock to layer under the large flower. I used my white gel pen and put very small dots in each of the scallops.

I tried piercing inside the scallops with my paper piercer, but as I suspected, the area was far to small and it scrunched up the cardstock. I think the white dots look just as striking as paper piercing, so it's not a problem.

Using Sweet Sugarplum Ink, I stamped two sentiments from the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set onto Whisper White. I layered them onto Sweet Sugarplum and, using Tombow, adhered one in the top right hand corner and the other in the bottom left hand corner.

Continuing with Tombow I adhered the top two layers of the card together and wrapped a piece of the Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around the centre and adhered it at the back with Fast Fuse. Then I adhered this to the card base using Tombow.

Using a pencil, I curled the petals of the large flower upwards slightly and adhered to the scalloped circle with Tombow, which I then adhered to the card base using Dimensionals. I also curled the small flowers slightly and adhered them onto of the round bud-like circles on the swirly image. The final step was to add Pearls to the centres of all the flowers!
