Today we take a leisurely three hour drive up to Telford for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local Convention! Although Hubby will be with me, he won't be coming to the convention - instead, he'll take himself off, out and about for the day, just chilling out! This evening, we're meeting up for a pre-arranged dinner with twenty five other demonstrators and three more husbands making thirty of us in all!
The convention kicks off at 8.30 am tomorrow morning and finishes at 5.30 pm. I'll meet Hubby back at the hotel and we'll chat over our day before getting ready to go out for dinner. We'll stay the night and then drive back home via Stoke Mandeville to visit our friend Liz. A hectic but great weekend.
Yesterday I made my video showing how I made my convention swaps. It took two takes so I have an extra six - total is now 134! LOL! I've edited the video and will post it on Sunday morning.
I also made two cards yesterday, so all in all, it was a very successful day.
I wanted to make a card using the swirly stamp from Timeless Textures - I'm sure there's a better name for the design on that stamp than that but it's escaping me right now! I've also had the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set sitting on my desk for the last four or five days as well. And more Designer Series Paper crept into the design as well!

I started my card with a base of Whisper White Card Stock, a layer of Rose Red and a top layer of Whisper White. Using Smokey Grey Ink, I stamped a random design across the top and bottom of the Whisper White layer. Then I adhered the two layers to the card base using Tombow.
The DSP is from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack. I adhered it just below the centre of the card front. I cut an extremely thin strip of the Rose Red Card Stock and adhered it across near the top of the DSP. Then I adhered the three flowers at intervals across the strips and added a Pearl in the centre of each.
I stamped the nine flowers on this card, as well as three in Smokey Slate, three in Basic Grey, three in Pink Pirouette and three of the large individual flowers in the Grateful Bunch in Rose Red. These last three were fussy cut but all the smaller flowers were punched out! It goes without saying that I finished up with quite a few unused flowers.
Another lovely card, very cheerful and happy
