Hello, Crafters.
Yesterday did not start well at all! Poor hubby had suffered with a lot of cramp during the night and woke up with painful legs. He went to work and left his laptop behind!
I found it about fifteen minutes after he'd left so I phoned him to let him know. He was less than pleased, to say the least but said he was too far to turn around to come back for it. His SatNav was telling him that there was a forty minute delay on the motorway!
My daughter phoned me just as I was about to leave the house to go over to her (I work for her 3 days a week, 2 weeks each month). She had a power cut so there was no point going over but to wait until the power was back.
She had to leave for a doctor's appointment after which she was off to two clients to collect work. She phoned again about ten minutes later to say she couldn't get her car out of the car park................it has electric gates!!
I said I'd go over to collect her and I'd drive her to the clients. When I arrived she said the power was back! YAY!!
Just as she was about to leave to go to the clients she had a phone call from the school to say her daughter was poorly and could she go and collect her!
One of those days that you think you'd like to go back to bed and start again!
When I arrived home from work yesterday I made a video showing my pre-order goodies that had arrived yesterday.
Video link: Spring & Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek
Initially I wasn't going to because I know there are already quite a few sneek peak videos out there already but I did it anyway! I'm pleased to say that when I placed my order this time, I remembered to order the co-ordinating dies!
I also show seven Sale-a-bration items I received from this order and the pre-order I placed when I was at the OnStage Convention in Brussels last month.
The design of today's card isn't any different from hundreds of cards you've seen already using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies except that I have used the Corrugated Paper for the houses, sentiment and stars.
This card stock is so tactile - it's amazing. Even though the houses and the sentiment have both been through the Big Shot, the texture remains, although slightly less on the sentiment than the house which doesn't appear to be flattened in the main part at all.
That's it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
LOVE the card, yes, even if I have seen lots of very similar ones, but not a one with this texture! Brilliant move there, Jan! I certainly wouldn't have thought of it ... I really, really, really like it! (I like stripes too! : -) -- now, to view your video showing us your latest haul! GREAT card ... love that corrugated card stock!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. I didn't think I'd be placing another order before Christmas but I think I'll have to - I've nearly finished the white corrugated paper! Happy crafting. JanB ☺
