Corrugated Paper Challenge No 2

Hello, Crafters.
 
Earlier this morning I posted my video which shows how I made the Christmas Table Decoration I posted on my blog last week.
 
Yesterday my box full of Stampin' Up! pre-order goodies arrived. YAY!!

Unfortunately I was working yesterday and arrived home at about 4.30 pm.

I had time to check everything was there but no time to play!
 
But I did have time to work on Corrugated Paper Challenge No. 2.

I knew what I wanted to do but wasn't sure if I wanted to use the snowman or the penguin.

So I did one of each, liked them both and carried on until the end and made two cards!
 
I started with the penguin first and stamped directly onto the corrugated side to see what effect I'd get.

It looked exactly like I thought it would and, although it wasn't right for what I wanted to achieve in this project, I can imagine it will be brilliant for something.

At the moment I can't think what, but it'll come!
 
To cut out the penguins white front, I stamped the image on the back of the cardstock and fussy cut him out!

It just came naturally to pick my scissors up and start cutting even though I now have the dies! LOL!!
 
I used the Owl Builder punch for his eyes; I stamped the image of his beak onto a piece of Whisper White, painted it with a Pumpkin Pie Marker Pen, cut it out and, like the eyes, adhered with Tombow.

Inks used were Basic Black Archival and Real Red.

I added Dazzling Diamonds to his hat and  mounted him on a piece of Whisper White that I had heat embossed with
Whisper White Embossing Powder and bubble wrap a remnant for a much earlier project.

For the snowmen card, I stamped them on the back of the Corrugated Paper and cut them out.

I die cut the Christmas trees and sponged them using a Dauber and Cucumber Crush Ink.

As I haven't seen any videos using this brilliant product..............yet!............. I think I'll make a video so I can share tips on what I've learned about using the Corrugated Paper
