Hello, Crafters.
Well, how cute is this?
Not only have I used the Bird Builder Punch but also the Owl Builder Punch, the Build a Tree Punch and the Word Window Punch!
I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest which was Piglet from Winnie the Pooh.
I changed the body from Piglet's stripey outfit to the spotty design from Gorgeous Grunge.
I also added a snout, which is made using the apple from the Build a Tree Punch.
For the central layering I used the new Lots of Labels Framelits, numbers 5, 6 and 7.
When numbering Framelits/Thinlits, I always start from the middle - the smaller the number, the smaller the die!
I used the Updated Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to pierce the holes around each of the three layers.
I punched the balloon with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and stamped the sentiment from Petite Pairs stamp set, using Rose Red ink.
To create the little bit at the base of the balloon where the string is tied round, I adhered the Pink Pirouette heart which was with the owl's body when I punched it out.
This week's challenge is Other Uses for the Bird Builder Punch but, apart from using the branch on card no. 1, I have only used the bird's wing.
I will try to remedy that when I do today's card.
I still have more ideas for the Bird Builder Punch, so shall I make this a two week challenge?
Have you enjoyed this week's cards or are they just not your scene?
As always, your feedback will be appreciated.
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
