Paper Pumpkin - March 2018

Hello, Crafters.

I had a successful two days away and arrived home at about 5pm
yesterday. After I'd unpacked and put everything away, hubby was home
from work and it was time for dinner. After dinner I couldn't think of a card
to make to share with you today, and I sat at my table hoping for some
kind of inspiration!

Then I saw my Paper Pumpkin sitting by my inkpads, and I knew what
I was going to do to share with you today! You'll probably wondering how
come a Brit has a Paper Pumpkin Kit when they are only available
in North America?!?

I have been blessed with a lovely crafty friend who lives in Arkansas, USA,
who very kindly sent me the March 2018 kit, which is called
May Good Things Grow. Massive thanks, Pat! Most demonstrators
I know in the UK , and also the Australian demos I befriended on
the Thailand Incentive Trip last year would love to have access
to Paper Pumkin over here.

Please, please, please Stampin' Up! There are all the products
in this box to make eight cards and enveolpes, and yesterday
evening I made one of each. The first stamp I used was a stunning
corner stamp - look at how this one stamps.

All the pieces used in the first card include die cuts, a ribbon
and a sentiment that are all in the kit. Unusually for me, I followed
the instructions except I used the Happy Birthday stamp on the
front of both envelopes, and I went over the flowers and leaves
with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.
I have seen on YouTube that a lot of people use their Paper Pumkin
kits for "alternative designs2. I doubt if I'll go down this road because I
love the designs as they are. I think the envelopes are great and they'd
hold a gift card as well.

The envelopes provided are not mailing envelopes but could be put
into a mailing envelope if the card needed to be posted! So here's a
question for you crafters who do NOT live in North America, if
Paper Pumpkin was available in your country, would you
buy it (assuming it's an acceptable price)?

I'll be very interested in hearing what you think about it! Many
thanks. I hope you have a lovely weekend, and until tomorrow,
happy crafting.

JanB.

  1. If it was a reasonable price I would be interested in looking at each month, I would not be able to afford it every month and I have seen that some months it is not always something that I would be interested in. You are lucky to have a lovely friend in the USA that has gifted you such a lovely Paper Pumpkin kit this month though. x

    1. Hi, Lorraine. I'm not sure how much it costs but you can subscribe for 3,6,9 months, and cancel at any time. I do think Pat has sent me a fabulous issue! But we have been asking for PP over here for years and I'd be surprised if we ever get it! ☺ Happy crafting. JanB.
