Hello, Crafters.
Can you believe it? Leigh and Vicki celebrated their first wedding
anniversary on 29th April! Where have these past twelve
months go? They went up to London for the weekend to celebrate,
and had a really super time. I'm away at the moment for a special
meeting I needed to attend, but I'll be back home tomorrow.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to make a card to share with you today,
so I thought II'd share the anniversary card I made for Leigh and
Vicki. I'm sure you remember this card from an earlier post, but I
didn't say what my ultimate goal for this card was.
The dies I used for 1st are from a retired Stampin' Up! set that
was only available for the life of one catalogue. It's a terrific set
which I often use for my personal cards. The size of the font is perfect
to fit in the centre of the Embroidery Hoop.
Now it's time to get myself packed, checked out, and back to my meeting.
I'll be back tomorrow, so in the meantime, happy crafting.
JanB.
Hey nice card! I can't believe they've already been married a year! What are the stamp sets called? The ones with the 1st & the flowers?
ReplyDeleteHi, Pat. I agree! How time flies! The Ist is from a retired set of SU dies, and the hoop, flowers and leaves are all wooden elements. The CONGRATULATIONS is from Balloon Celebration Stamp Set. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
DeleteThis card is just the sweetest ... love the -cut flowers and greenery and the background. The pearls are the perfect touch! Hope you have a super weekend, all of you! and thanks for sharing even when you're so stretched time wise.
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. As I said to Lorraine (below), Vicki couldn't stop fingering the hoop - obviously a very tactile card! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
DeleteThank you for sharing a personal card with us crafters Jan, I love how you are making these embroidery hoops so versatile on different projects. I have a small numeral die set which I could use the same as you have with this retired SU one too. Hope you have a great meeting. x
ReplyDeleteHi, Lorraine. I did find the Embroidery Hoops quite a challenge, but I cam up with two designs I was happy with, this being one of them. It's obviously a very tactile card, because Vicki couldn't stop touching and running her finger around the hoop! LOL! ☺ Happy crafting,JanB.
