Graceful Glass

Hello, Crafters.

I had a relaxing time yesterday colouring one of the sheets from the

 forthcoming Graceful Glass 6"x6" Designer Vellum. 

I was inspired by Nana again; she's the lady in my team who inspired me 

to do the retiform technique. She made a bookmark using a geometric

 design from this set of Designer Vellum. It was beautiful in its simplicity. 

I chose to use the sheet that had these four floral designs, which 

I cut in to 1½” and then mounted onto a 2" strip of Soft 

Sea Foam Cardstock (CS).

 I prefer to colour using our Marker Pens but it turned out to be 

not such a good idea in this instance, because I smudged the

 ink on the back, and it's visible from the front!! After this happened

 I used my Heat Tool to dry the colouring, but it was a bit too late by then. 

Have a close look at the bottom half of the bookmark that features

 the Blueberry Bushel Irises, and you will see where I have

 smudged the Call Me Clover (green). 

 So what started out to be a project in its own right, ended as part

 one of an experiment to decide which way is the best for

 colouring the Graceful Glass Vellum. Grrr! Today, I'll repeat the

 experiment but with Stampin Blends, which I expect will not 

create this problem, but I'm not an expert so I'll put it to the test.

 Apart from preferring to use Marker Pens, I also used them because

I wanted to showcase the five new InColours. That is, Lovely 

Lipstick roses, Grapefruit Grove lilies, Blueberry Bushel irises, and

 Pineapple Punch yellow flowers! I have no idea what these are 

meant to be! Can someone help me out, please?

 To adhere the Vellum to the CS I used Tombow, and it's hardly visible. 

The ribbon I used is called Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped 

Ribbon which is available in the Spring/Summer Catalogue

 while stocks last - it's retiring on 31st May 2018! 

 These are the type of bookmarks I prefer to use, except I find it irritating 

if the ribbon keeps coming out! As I don't want to tie it in a knot, I slip 

a Glue Dot under the piece that goes across the front of the bookmark

and, from the back, another one between the CS and where the two

 ribbon tails come out at the front. I hope that makes sense! I hope

 you like today's very simple, but very practical project! That's it from
