Share What You Love - Take 2

Hello, Crafters.

One of the first jobs I did yesterday when I went into my studio, was 

to see if I could take  the top two layers off the card base of 

yesterday's card. You may remember that I'd said that I'd 

made a big mistake by adhering the layers using Tear & Tape. 

It was a mistake because I'd wrapped some of the new 

Nature's Twine around the layers four times. It was so thick I 

should have adhered the layers to the card front using Dimensionals 

- unfortunately, I'd used double-sided tape!

The good news is that I was able to pull the layers off, as long as I 

pulled very gently; and then I used Dimensionals to 

re-adhere to the card base! Today's card is very similar to yesterday's

 card, with a change of colour - I went for Grapefruit Grove and 

Basic Black as my colour combo. 

Orange is normally my least  favourite colour, but this kind of 

orange is what I call a milky orange, it's softer and I quite like it! The script 

design Designer Series Paper (DSP), as well as the design I 

fussy cut the flowers from, are both from the Share What You Love DSP. 

I stamped the leaves onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 

(CS) using Tranquil Tide Ink. To soften the background, I used 

the middle size "splodge" stamp from the Love What You Do Stamp Set, 

stamped off once with Mint Macaroon Ink and then I stamped 

over the leaves. 

I used this same technique with the sentiment background, too. I stamped

 the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set, using Stazon

 Jet Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White CS. To soften the

 look, I stamped over the sentiment with the largest splodge stamp, 

stamped off once using the Grapefruit Grove Ink.

When I wrapped some Nature's Twine around the top two layers, 

it was foremost in my mind to adhere it to the card base using 

Dimensionals! The good thing about the mistake I made 

yesterday is that it's the kind of mistake I don't make twice! 

I used one of the new Pearlised Doilies behind the sentiment, and 

I put a Basic Black CS punched circle behind the doily so the holes 

would show through as black - I just wanted to see what effect 

this would give! I added some small black Faceted Dots to the

 fussy cut flowers, and three large ones top and bottom of the script DSP. 

I added a layer of Basic Black CS, topped with a layer of Whisper 

White CS, inside the card, and decorated the bottom right-hand

 corner with a left over fussy cut flower and three sets of leaves!

The Share What You Love DSP is absolutely gorgeous, and if I'm

 not careful, I'm going to fall into the trap of keep making the same 

card over and over again, just changing the design of the DSP! LOL!
