Hello, Crafters.
Today's card uses the Lovely Lipstick Cardstock (CS), as well
as the Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend I received, when I
went to OnStage a couple of weekends ago. When I started my card,
I didn't have any idea in my mind what I wanted to do, so I
decided to stamp the group of three flowers stamp onto
Whisper White CS using Basic Grey Archival Ink as my starting point!
As well as liking this new colour, Lovely Lipstick, I chose it for
my flowers as it was the only Stampin' Blend I have in any
of the new colours! I have three packets of new Designer Series
Paper (DSP) as part of the Product Purchase Premier that is
offered to OnStage attendees.
Unfortnately, I couldn't find a design to co-ordinate with my chosen
colour, so I went for the gorgeous Petal Passion DSP! I struggled to
decide which pattern I should use, because several of them looked
great! After much deliberation, I settled on the easy option,
the black and white stripes!
After I'd spent some very relaxing time fussy-cutting the flowers, it
was time to decide how I was going to arrange my elements.
I played with three or four different options before deciding on
the deisgn you see today. I adhered the flowers by putting Mini
Dimensionals under each flower head, and I carefully twisted
the heads slightly so they all looked different from each other!
several other recent occasions, I struggled to find anything
suitable in my stash apart from Whisper White Baker's Twine.
When I'm ready to put my next order in, I'm going to get
a selection of other colours in Baker's Twine so I have a better
selection to choose from going forward!
I chose the sentiment from the Flrty Flowers Stamp Set, which
will be retiring on 31st May 2018. After stamping it using
Basic Grey Archival Ink, I used punches to build up the layers. I
adhered them together using Tombow, and then added it to
the card front using Dimensionals. My finishing touch for the card
front was to add a Basic Pearl to the base of each flower head.
Inside the card I added a layer of Lovely Lipstick CS with a
layer of Whisper White CS. To decorate the top layer I
stamped, coloured and fussy cut another group of three flowers.
I used Tombow to adhere them in the bottom right-hand corner!
I think this stamp of the three flowers is going to be one of my
favorite stamps in the new catalogue. Watch this space!
As the Share What You Love Suite will be available to purchase in
just six days, I'm planning to create projects until then to show you some of
the different elements available in the bundles.
That's it from me today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
