Yesterday I was still on a roll with the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Punch!
When I first went into my studio I had to concentrate on making my video for tomorrow. Once I'd finished that I started prepping for today's class.
In next to no time, hubby was home and it was time to stop for dinner - where does time go?
When I first started on it, all I knew was that I wanted to make the daisies in Vellum Cardstock (CS), heat embossed in white, and I also knew I wanted to use pink as my colour! So I started my card with a base of Pink Pirouette Cardstock (CS), then a layer of Whisper White CS, and a top layer of Pink Pirouette CS.
Using my Embossing Buddy, I wiped over a piece of our Vellum CS, and stamped four Daisies in Versamark.
I did the same to create three Daisy centres, one each for the two Daisies on the front of the card and one for the inside. Then I punched them out using a half inch Circle Punch.
Most times you'll find if you pull both pieces of cardstock out at the same time, they'll slide out like butter! Unfortunately, the success rate with Vellum isn't so high! I know it does because I tried it, and found there's a 50/50 chance of it working! LOL!
I chose the WELCOME BABY sentiment from the Badges and Banner Stamp Set, and heat embossed it using Whisper White Embossing Powder.
I obviously needed to give it height and wanted to use my Foam Adhesive Strips, but I couldn't see them! Grrr!! This was a challenge as whatever I put at the back of the sentiment, it would be visible to a certain extent. I decided to cut as wide a strip as possible from a sheet on Mini Dimensionals and this worked brilliantly.
First of all I removed the back and the front covering from the sheet because I knew this would make it easy to manouver. Once I was happy the position was uniform from end to end, I added a row of Mini Dimensionals on top which meant the height would now be the same as the Adhesive Strips!
I adhered the Daisies together using Tombow, and then adhered them to the card front also using Tombow. Then I adhered the card layers together using Tombow.
Now I'm off to get my classroon (dining room) ready for this afternoon's class! I hope you have a great weekend, and until tomorrow, happy crafting.
