I really pleased to say I had a much, much better time in my studio yesterday afternoon, than I did the previous day!
I had to prepare two greeting cards and a 3D project for my class this weekend.
I don't normally arrange classes during August but I had sufficient interest to get one organised this year.
At one stage it looked as if I'd be doing my normal two classes, but various events cropped up for different crafters so I'm keeping it to one class.
I've chosen to use the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, together with the Daisy Punch.
As I was on a roll, I made an extra card to share with you today.
I started my card with a base of Daffodil Delight Cardstock (CS), and a layer of Whisper White CS.
I chose the Old Olive leaf design from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP), and cut a piece half the size of the Whisper White layer.
I adhered it to the bottom half of the Whisper White layer using Tombow.
I took a strip of Daffodil Delight CS, and punched a trim using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.
I could have used half a sheet of Whisper White for the stamped daisies, as well as half a sheet of DSP, and adhered the two pieces straight on to the card front.
I decided against doing it that way because it wouldn't have been easy to have timmed off the ends of the punched trim on the edge of the Whisper White layer.
I adhered this to the bottom half of the card front using Dimensionals.
I added a large Gold Faceted Gem to the centre of each of the stamped daisies.
To finish my card, I took a piece of Whisper White CS and stamped an Old Olive daisy in the bottom right hand corner, stamped off once.
I stamped the centre using Daffodil Delight Ink and adhered the sheet using Tombow.
So that's it from me for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting!

That's lovely, so many many things to do with the daisy set, I have found the punched out daisy fits really well on the eastern palace dies and look great
ReplyDeleteHi, Kaye. I'm amazed at some of the ideas I've seen, e.g. the petals being used to make s skirt for the dancer in Beautiful You! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
