Today's the last day......................

Today's the last day before we fly off to Thailand on the Stampin' Up! 2017 Incentive Trip!

What jobs I don't get done today, won't get done before we go!

I'm really pleased to report that UPS delivered my parcel yesterday albeit quite a bit later than normal, and I've been able to get my June happy mail posted to my customers! 

Although I still have two videos to make, yesterday evening I decided to make my July  customer Thank You Cards instead!

This has turned out to be a good decision because I've decided to make a video showing how I make cards "conveyor belt" style! 

Hopefully, at the end of the video, I will give a demonstration of the other flowers that can be made with this stamp set. 

At least I'm in the very comfortable position now of knowing what my video plans are now................all I have to do is to make sure I execute them!

My July Thank You cards are pure simplicity and such a beautiful flower! 

It's one of the hostess stamp sets that are currently available, and is called Tranquil Tulips. It's a photopolymer, two-step stamping stamp set, and is so brilliantly easy to get great results with.

The photographs shown on today's blog include between six and nine different cards; I didn't count!

To make this card I started with our Whisper White Notecards, which come in a packet of twenty pre-scored cards plus co-ordinating envelopes. 

The card size is 5" x 3.5". 

Before I started stamping my tulips on the cards, I had several practice goes on scrap paper. 

As this is a photopolymer stamp set, two-step stamping is a walk in the park!


I stamped the word THANKS first, using Fresh Fig Ink, at the top of the card.

The stamp is from the You Move Me Stamp Set. 

To make sure I had my stamping positioned correctly, I lined up my unfolded notecard on my Grid Paper, which helped me to keep my image well placed.

Once or twice, I worked my way a bit too close to the edge, but it didn't upset the balance so much that I felt it necessary to scrap the card!

I used Pear Pizzazz Ink to stamp the flower stem, then the leaf on the left-hand side, and then the leaf on the right-hand side. 

If you look closely at the different cards posted here today, you'll see (hopefully) sometimes I've left a space between the stem and the leaves, other times I've made sure they touch each other.

I like both ways, and I don't see either way as right or wrong! 

For the tulip flower head, I used Sweet Sugarplum Ink, and stamped the larger stamp first, then the smaller stamp. 

I made sure I lined up the two parts of the flower up, which really is quite easy, but I didn't consider that I'd made a "mistake" if I wasn't quite spot on!

The final touch was to add the stamens using Fresh Fig Ink. As usual, it's the small details that really finishes a card!

My plans for my blog over the next two weeks is to share my Thailand trip with you, hopefully something everyday! 

I haven't worked out what our schedule is like for the first week, but we're our own bosses for the second week!

We're planning to hire a car, and hubby has planned some places for us to visit!
