A Little Wild EPD Box Video

Hello, Crafters.

Today I'm taking a day off to go shopping for some new clothes to take to Thailand with me next week! YAY!

The video I uploaded this morning was planned to be one of those that would be published while I'm away.

Unfortunately, when I made the video I had planned for today, it was shortly after I'd had a migraine!

Although I'm lucky that mine are aura migraines and only last half an hour, the effects on my speech lasts quite a bit longer!

I'll re-do what should have been today's video tomorrow, and will schedule it to publish while I'm away!

This Envelope Punch Board (EPD) Box is the 3D project we made in class last weekend.

I made the boxes this size so I could fit some perfumed sachets inside.

I received the sachets from one of the young Scottish demonstrators, called Maire, who's in my Stampin' Up team. Many thanks, Maire! ☺

I have one of these boxes sitting on my desk here as I'm writing my blog, and the perfume is divine!

I used the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) for this project as it's thicker than our regular DSP.

This has meant the box is beautifully sturdy, and is very   attractive, too.

There is a smoothness to this DSP which makes it almost feel like fabric!

In this pack of DSP there are three designs and each design comes in Blushing Bride and Soft Sky, with the design in Very Vanilla.

On the reverse of each sheet is the same pattern as on the front, but in gold foil on Very Vanilla.

It's an absolutely stunning pack which I'm sure I'll use more than one pack before the life of this new annual catalogue comes to an end!

I made the lion tags using the A Little Wild Stamp Set and co-ordinating Little Loves Framelits Dies.

I started by stamping with Archival Basic Black Ink and then colouring using Watercolour Pencils.

To get the gingery colour for the lion, I gently coloured over using the Early Espresso Watercolour Pencil, and then gently coloured over it with the Pumpkin Pie Watercolour Pencil.

I blended the colours together using a Blender Pen. Every tag I make comes out a slightly different colour, but they're all a gingery colour, so I'm happy with that!

I stamp the inside of the tag with the To: From: stamp that's comes in the A Little Wild Stamp Set. I'm hoping Stampin' Up! will bring some Christmas related animals we can use with these dies.

If not, I'll do my own by adding antlers or Father Christmas hat! Watch this space! That's about it for today. I wish you a happy Sunday and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

  1. Very, very cute little box, Jan. You always have such lovely paper projects. Appreciated you showing the trick for nice corners and edges using the watercolour pencil box. I also liked your colouring treatments on the wee lion, incl. opening his eyes! Lovely video and thanks so much again!

    1. Hi, Geraldine. The EPD is such a great way to make boxes and it's so easy too. I'm so pleased you've picked up some hints and tips from today's video. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
