Hello, Crafters.The heatwave continues! YAY!
Unfortunately, I'm one of the few people who actually enjoys this weather!
The forecast is that today's the last day, and temperatures will get back to normal tomorrow!
Earlier today I posted my Front Step Card video.
I found this idea in a copy of Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine.
Unfortunately I don't know when this was published because, once I've finished with a magazine, I tear out pages I want to keep!
The three-page article was with a two-page article
called Budget Makes with Doilies, which is from the same magazine.If I assume these articles are from the same month, they were in the July 2015 issue. There's an advertisement on the back of one of the pages that says "offer closes 31st July 2015"!
I found this article when I spent the day in my studio having a good clear out the day after Liz passed away last week.
I'll have to have a closer look at other aticles I've kept to see what else I can find!
When I made the first Front Step Card, I really made hard work of it.
On the positive side, it also helped me work out the easy way of doing it.
By the time I made
the video, I'd finished up with a very smooth and easy process. This card does fits into one of our standard envelopes.
It was a bit of an effort to get the card to stand up because the ceiling fan above me was on!
It was quite funny to watch! LOL!
The fans were
still on when it came to photographing the cards, so I needed something
to make them stand still and upright!I found if I put a smallish punch, like the now retired Petite Petal Punch, inside the box, it stayed put brilliantly.
Unfortunately I had to remove the punch when I wanted to take side view photos, so I had to allow the card to rest against the white backing.
Just a little tip if you, or someone you know, receives a Front Step Card greeting card!
This was the fifth week of five weeks of fancy fold cards I promised.
I will try and keep the fancy folds coming, but no promises!

Absolutely love this card and looking forward to trying it today! Really like the paper-piecing on the lady and the lovely contrasts of the DSP on the rest of the card. Beautifully done, Jan ... as always!! TFS

DeleteBeautiful card as always... sorry to hear of Liz's passing.... we all do different things when we grieve... I sleep... cleaning would probably be a better use of time... going to try this card with the flamingo in the "Pop of Paradise" and some retired botanical blooms DSP I have been hoarding.... thank you for all of the splendid tutorials!!
