Beautiful Bouquet Birthday Card

Hello, Crafters.

Yesterday I finished off organising my new sets of dies into my magnetic folders (system shown in my video N0.273 - Die Storage & Numbering).

Another advantage of adhering die cuts to the back of each sheet means I get a really good look at each individual die!

It was while I was doing this, I decided I wanted to use the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set for today's card.

This stamp set comprises of thirty seven individual stamps!

This is broken down into fifteen sentiments and twenty two images. 

The co-ordinating set of dies is called Bouquet Bunch and is a total of twenty one dies! 

This stamp set and co-ordinating dies are available as a bundle which saves you 10%

Interestly, not all dies have a corresponding stamp, but I haven't had time to work out what goes with what. 

I think this bundle could keep me amused for a whole week! LOL!! 

Today's card features just one of the flower stems - there are five - and one flower head. 

Although I used Pacific Point Ink for the flower head, the cardstock (CS) and the Designer Series Paper (DSP - are both Dapper Denim.

Until I've had a chance to test each stamp, it's impossible to say how many options there are for flower heads. 

I estimate there are about six.  
 
With the flower I chose, I found it easiest to stamp the Pacific Point flowers first, and then the Old Olive stem. 

I haven't been able to work out an exact way of lining the flowers up with the stem or vice versa.

The way I decided worked best for me, was to line up the two small "tulips"  which are on the lowest right-hand "branch". 

Then I made sure the top of the stem went straight up the centre of the space between the flowers on the right and the left as you go higher up!

If you look really closely how I've lined up my flowers, you'll see I "missed" the spot more than once! 

But I don't think this spoils the look of my card - do you?

The bow and the sentiment are from the same stamp set, and the bow has a co-ordinating die. 

The background papers are from the Colour Theory Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack. 

I think this crackle design is absolutely superb, I love it! 

I normally put ribbon across the join of two pieces of CS or DSP, but on today's card I used a narrow strip of Whisper White CS.

As often happens, my card looked rather bland but I knew how I would deal with that! 
 
As I'd been sorting out my new dies earlier in the day, I'd seen two small butterfly dies! 

One is in the Build a Bike Framelits but there is no stamp for it in the co-ordinating Bike Ride Stamp Set.

I used the two-step stamping butterfly in the You Move Me Stamp Set. 

Using Pear Pizzazz CS, I stamped the inside image first with Old Olive Ink, and then the background stamp with Pear Pizzazz Ink. 

The co-ordinating set of dies for this stamp set is Move Me Thinlits.

I adhered the main image and the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals.

I used our brilliant NEW Mini Dimensionals to adhere the butterflies to the card front - the size is absolutely spot on!! 

To finish my card, I stamped a row of butterflies along the bottom of a Whisper White CS layer for the inside of my card. 

This afternoon I have the inspector from the insurance company coming round to view the damage to our carpet. Both hubby and I are hoping they'll be able to get the carpet cleaned. Neither of us want to face the upheaval of having new carpet fitted!
