Create a Bouquet of Flowers

Hello, Crafters.

I really enjoyed creating today's Thank You card! 

I used the single flower from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set for the inside of a card I made recently. 

When I posted it to my blog I made the comment that I was thinking about colouring the image rather than leaving it as a stamped outline image.

Yesterday, I decided to do just that, and chose to use my Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette Marker Pens.

I decided to create two single flowers with stems and fussy cut them, leaving a narrow white edge around them. 

I laid them on a piece of cardstock so the stems crossed each other and decided that's how I was going to make the card. 

I also planned to add a bow over the stems as the final touch. 

As I looked at the main stamp in this set, I decided to stamp it using Basic Black Archival Ink, onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock (CS). 

I started colouring the three smaller flowers, fussy cut them, and arranged them with the two single flowers.

I started my card with a base of Sahara Sand CS, with a layer of Shimmery White CS and a top layer of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I selected the specific area of the DSP I used so I had complete flowers growing up from the base of the card.

I cut smaller layers of Shimmery White and Sahara Sand CS for the centre image. 

To give a background to the flowers I used the large background stamp from the You've Got This Stamp Set.

I inked it using Sahara Sand Ink, stamped off once, then stamped on the cardstock. 
 
I attached all the flowers using Dimensionals and arranged them like a small bouquet.

I made a small bow using 1/4" Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and adhered it to the stems using Tombow.

I used the same layers for the sentiment, which is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set, and stamped it in Basic Black Archival Ink.  

I took a piece of Shimmery White CS to adhere inside the card, and stamped two of the sigle stem flowers at different heights, using Basic Black Archival Ink. 

This time I did decide to colour the images, and I'm really pleased with the result.

As usual, all three stamp sets I've used are all being carried forward into the new annual catalogue which goes live on 1st June 2017.
