This morning I uploaded today's video which features the Beautiful You Stamp Set and Hearth & Homes Thinlits Dies.
If ever I thought I didn't need to make a card immediately before making a video, this is proof Ido really need to!
As I was so exceptionally busy last week, I didn't have time to make another copy of this card immediate before commencing the video.
If I had of done, I wouldn't have tried assembling the window as early as I did.
That is, before I had created the wallpaper and dressed the lady!
I shared the original card on my block last week but explained that I'd tried to make the background behand the lady to look like wallpaper but it looked more like railings!
I changed the stamp set for the video and this time it does look like wallpaper.
I used the Timeless Textures Stamp Set for this.
The Mint Macaroon Designer Series Paper is from By The Shore.
The THANK YOU sentiment is from the the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and the flower is from the Botanical Builders Thinlets Dies.
As I said I would in the video, I added a Basic Pearl to the centre of the flowers on both cards.
Yesterday was a hugely successful day in Peacehaven.
There were fourteen attendees and we had a great time, and plenty of laughs!
This morning we're off to see Liz.
I wish you a happy Sunday. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
It was so funny, Jan ... just as you were finishing attaching the flower I was thinking to myself, 'now all it wants is a pearl in the centre' and then you said it! Had a little chuckle just then. It is a wonderful stamp set indeed and I love what you've done with it here on this card. Thanks so much for a fun video ... the little snafus just make you more human like the rest of us, so not to worry!
ReplyDeleteHi, Geraldine. I wouldn't be surprised if this stamp set goes down as an all-time classic! It' amazing how many different ideas crafters have come up with! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
DeleteSo very happy I found you on YouTube!! Your ability to take a stamp set and card stock/dsp and turn it into a work of art is soooo inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteI especially appreciate how you take the littlest detail into mind, e.g. The wall paper look and changing the stamp to get the effect you wanted!!
And I do love that you don't edit out your booboos too!! It makes the video real, like we are there learning right there with you!!
My other appreciation .... is how you intermingle stamps & dies to make a card!!
Thank you again, for a fun tutorial!! I hope to try it soon!!
Hi, Maryann. It's lovely to hear from you. I took my lead regarding booboos from Frenchie - France Martin. I used to watch her a lot when I first started crafting years ago. She was never fazed by her booboos and I found it very re-assuring! LOL! Have fun CASEing this card! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
