Bloomin Heart Wedding Card

Hello, Crafters.

Yesterday I had fun brayering the three "plain" patterns in the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).

It started because I decided to make a video for tomorrow showing how I decorated one of the floral designs in this set, and how I added my own decoration before actually using it as a background.

I combined my playtime with using more of my pre-die cut shapes in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, which is something I've been trying to do over the last couple of weeks.

For today's card I chose a pre cut Bloomin Heart to create a wedding card.

When I was brayering the various designs, using various ink colours, the pleasure was equal which ever combination I used.

I didn't finish up with a favourite because I feel they all have their own individual merits.

The challenge was deciding how to use the background to its best advantage.

I found the plain patterns fractionally more versatile because the design didn't distract too much if it could be seen through the die cuts.

Having said that I did find it better to put a sheet of vellum behind the die cut.

I didn't do this on the 60 diamond design card and I think it would have looked better if I had.

I did put a layer of vellum behind the die cut heart and that was it definitely a great improvement.

To cut the heart-shaped vellum, I drew round the largest normal shaped heart in the Sweet & Sassy Heart Dies with a pencil and then cut around it.

The Mr & Mrs sentiment is from the That's the Tag Stamp Set, and has been heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I tied the ribbon around the top two layers of the card and then mounted it onto a Mint Macaroon Cardstock (CS) base.

I adhered a sheet of Whisper White CS inside the card and decorated it with a small flower in the bottom right hand corner.

I used Mint Macaroon Ink and the flowery stamp that's in the That's the Tag Stamp Set.

That's it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

    1. Hi Rob I. Yes, I think it looks better than putting a solid background behind it and leaving it totally open just wasn't an option! LOL! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.

    1. Hi, Kaye. Thanks. I think the bow behaving itself helps too, although it could have been a tad bigger! I cut it too short! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
