I think this stamp set is becoming my newest favourite set, pushing the balloons off top spot! LOL!
As I said yesterday, this is so easy to line up the second stamp in the two-step stamping process.
On both occasions I've used this stamp set, I've stamped the outline stamp first.
Next time, I'll try and remember to do the main body stamp first - I don't remember trying it on Wednesday!
To make this card I started with a base of Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock (CS), then a layer of Tip Top Taupe CS, which I adhered together using Tombow.
Note: rather than keep repeating myself and saying I used Tombow, please note, I used Tombow for all the adhering on this card! LOL!
I took a 3 1/8" square piece of Tip Top Taupe CS and dry embossed it using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.
Hubby said they look like pebbles, which I thought was very appropriate for succulents!
I layered this onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS.
On some scrap pieces of Sweet Sugarplum CS I stamped the outline stamps of two large and two small flowers.
Then I stamped the solid stamps on both, but stamped off once first.
Then I took some scraps of Old Olive CS and, using Old Olive Ink, repeated the process and stamped three of the twiggy-looking stems, stamping off once for the solid stamp.
I adhered this to a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS.
I adhered the "pebbles" and the sentiment to the card.
I adhered the small flower on top of the large flower which was adhered to the pebbles.
Carrying on with Tombow, I adhered the three stem images and slid them in place under the flower.
Inside the card I added a layer of Tip Top Taupe CS and adhered the two flowers side by side.
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
Lovely card. I have put this set on my wish list. Also the embossing folder.
