This morning I uploaded my That's the Tag Thank You Card video which features the card I shared here last Thursday.
I made two changes from the original card; the first of which is that I used Envelope Paper for the card you've already seen, and I used Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper for the video.
The only real reason for the change was that Watermelon Wonder was the only Envelope Paper I have left in that particular design. I do have plenty of the diagonal stripe design that comes in the pack, but I didn't think it looked quite as good.
I made the Sweet Sugarplum before I made the video, which sees me using Blushing Bride. It doesn't look as if I've photographed it, so I'll remember to do it today and post here tomorrow!
Since I started making this design, I've found that the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Pen is brilliant for the centres of the flowers - a quick and easy way to add some glitter! If you prefer more glitter, you could paint the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen over the flower petals and the leaves.
The ribbon I used on the video is the 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride.
The succulents are becoming extremely popular and I have seen some really fantastic creations that have been made.
It dawned on me at the weekend I have a basket shaped tin on my kitchen window sill that would be ideal for making something like this.
Fortunately, it's quite small so I wouldn't have to make too many succulents to make it look full, but I don't know if it's too small! Anyway, I digress!
I'm going to give it lots of TLC to see if I can get it to look better. Does anybody know if I'm in with a chance, or will it always look sad?
I have a very busy day today as I have two classes booked for this weekend, and I need to plan two cards and a 3D project, and then prepare all the packets!
Never a dull moment! Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
