Beautiful You and Traveller No. 2

Hello, Crafters.

Today's card is the first I've made using the Serene  Scenery Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack.

I saw  a card like this on Pinterest which had the girl dancing from the Beautiful You Stamp Set, plus a sentiment on this same design from the DSP Stack.

When I saw first saw this card, I thought it looked bleak, although to a lot of people it probably looks idyllic. Anyway, I wondered if I could add something so that it didn't look so bleak to me.

I thought about the Traveller Stamp Set because I had used it previously for the girl with the umbrella from the same stamp set.

I started my card with a base of Island Indigo Cardstock (CS), then a layer of Whisper White CS and a top layer of the Serene Scenery DSP.

Using Basic Black Archival Ink, I stamped the ship from the Traveller Stamp Set in the top left hand corner.

I chose the sentiment from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and stamped it in the top right hand corner.

Still using the Basic Black Archival Ink,I stamped the dancing girl towards the bottom of the DSP.

I stamped her again on a blue design from the Blooms & Bliss DSP pack and a third time on the reverse side of my chosen design.

I cut out both dresses and hats, and then glued the dark blue design onto the first image  using Tombow.

To give her skin a bit of colour, I used my Calypso Coral Watercolour pencil on her arms and legs and went over them with a Blender Pen.

To decorate the inside of the card, I stamped the dancing girl about one third off the bottom of the Whisper White CS.

Using Tombow, I adhered the light-coloured cut-out dress and hat.

This is a lovely quick and easy card but I'm not sure what the right kind of sentiment is for it! Obviously, if you prefer the idyllic card, just leave off the ship!

As promised yesterday, I remembered to photograph the That's the Tag card I made in Sweet Sugarplum.

I don't have a favourite between this and the Blushing Bride, do you?

Yesterday, I also designed the first card for this weekend's classes.

I'm using the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the Up and Away Thinlets dies, which probably doesn't surprise you at all given the fun I had playing with it last week! LOL!

That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
