Tissue Box Cover Video

Hello, Crafters.

I hope you're having a great weekend.

This morning I uploaded my video which shows how to make this super easy tissue box cover! 

It was inspired by the stunning hand-stamped tissue box cover I received from Rebecca Willmore, as a team swap when we were at the Stampin' Up! Onstage Convention on 5th November 2016. 

I took the easy option and used Designer Series Paper to decorate my box.

*** FOR US SIZED BOXES which are 4½” x 4 3/8”  and 5” tall
Cardstock box size should be 9 5/8” x 5 5/8”
Cardstock lid size should be 4 5/8” x 4½”
Score landscape at 4 5/8”, 9 1/8”; turn cardstock 90° anti-clockwise and score at 5 1/8”. Adjust Whisper White and Designer Series Paper layers accordingly.

I used paper from the Neutrals Collection Deigner Series Paper Stack in Sahara Sand.

This is Rebecca's list: Totally Trees Stamp Set; Pool Party Cardstock for box base; Basic Grey Archival Ink for the tree trunks; Pool Party Ink for trees; Pear Pizzazz Ink for trees; Sweet Sugaplum Ink for sponging around the edges of the Whisper White cardstock.

One of the attractions of this project for me is that it can be made in any color to blend in with your home decor!

I have kept my Tissue Box Cover very basic in design but you could choose to add stamped images on the sides.

I have avoided any kind of 3D decoration like flowers, butterflies, ribbons and bows because this is a practical project and these additions would just be dust collectors - not what you want on a tissue box!

We had a lovely time meeting up with my French customer yesterday afternoon. I'm so pleased we arranged to meet at Gatwick Airport for a couple of reasons.
 
First of all we were able to watch the progress of MC's flight and leave home once we knew her flight had taken off. It only takes thirty minutes for us to drive to Gatwick which meant we still arrived first.


As so frequently happens, the flight was delayed and didn't actually take off when it said on the internet that it had! 

We made the most of our time by having coffee and a bite to eat.

The second advantage was that we were able to help MC and her daughter get to the station where they needed to buy tickets for the Gatwick Express.

They had to get to London Victoria Station as they're staying near the Barbican in London for the weekend.

To get to the Gatwick Express, you need to go from the North Terminal, via the shuttle train service, to the South Terminal - this also gave us more time for chatting and getting to know each other!

Once we were happy they were heading in the right direction, we went back to the North Terminal to collect our car and to head on home!
