I had such a delightfully busy day yesterday!
While I was working on a special order, I had my iPad on YouTube, only "sort of" watching it! I saw something by Sam Hammond that inspired me to challenge myself for my December Thank You cards.
I'm not sure this challenge is actually possible because, having worked with these designs since August, even the non-Christmas designs look like Christmas to me now!
In all, I made ten different designs but the amount of cards I did in each design varied, depending on how much paper I had left of that design! The first six cards have been made using the This Christmas DSP, and with the exception of the two flowery designs, are all neutral designs.
To create these cards, I started with our Note Cards that come in a pack of 20, are pre-scored and measure 5" by 3.5" inches. The pack also comes woth 20 envelopes.
Once I'd made the first card, which was in landscape mode, I made a note of the measurements for each layer, and cut all the cardstock, and DSP layers I needed. I used the same measurements for the card pieces needed for the portrait mode cards.
I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (CS) as backing for the my layers on the This Christmas DSP cards. The stamp for the bow is from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set, and has been stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink on Cherry Cobbler CS. I punched them out using the Holly Berry Builder Punch.
For these cards I used Real Red CS for layering and the bows, and Real Red Ink for the stamping, otherwise everything was just the same as above.
I stamped three different designs, tone on tone, for Sharon to choose from. They were from the First Sight, Gorgeous Grunge and Merrist Wishes Stamp Sets.
I have rather a lot off photographs I want to share with you, so I'm going to sign out now and let you scroll down to look at them. Until tomorrow, happy crafting. JanB.
The thank you cards are a great idea to use up DSP, and the boxes are gorgeous. Love the colour :o)
ReplyDeleteHi, Audrey. It's not a bad idea is it? LOL! ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
