Tidings of Comfort & Joy Video

Hello, Crafters.

This morning I uploaded my Tidings of Comfort & Joy video.

This is based on the card I shared here with you on Tuesday. 

When I made the original card I had a struggle to do the sentiment in three colours.

The problem was caused by the ink pooling before I was able to stamp it. 

Fortunately, because the stamp is a photopolymer stamp I was able to do one colour at a time.

I chose to do the Garden Green first and then I gave my stamp a jolly good clean. 

Then I used my Cherry Cobbler Marker Pen and painted the TIDINGS and JOY. 

I was then able to look through the stamp and line up the COMFORT on the stamp with the Garden Green stamped COMFORT on my Whisper White Cardstock (CS). 

In the video, although I cleaned my stamp thoroughly after the Garden Green stamping, when I did the Cherry Cobbler stamping, it left an impression of the curly pattern and the spray pattern that I was going to be doing in Crumb Cake. 

My Stampin' Scrub was obviously overdue for a clean! 


As I was more than halfway through the video, I persevered although I didn't hold out much hope for myself with the Crumb Cake stamping! 

But, surprise, surprise, it came out amazingly well! 

I think you can hear the surprise in my voice on the video! LOL! 

Photograph 5 shows what the image looked like when I painted the whole stamp before stamping the image. 

You can see by all the white areas where the ink had pooled on the stamp

Before I began the video, I had a little play with the brown inks to decide what colour I wanted to use for the Pinecones. 

Photograph 6 shows Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso Inks, all stamped off once on both layers.

I did all three images on the same piece of Crumb Cake so I could share it with you here. 

The colours aren't exactly true to the inks but they do give a very good idea of what they look like and the differences between each other.
