I hope you had a great weekend.
I'm planning a video to show how I made today's card. This is the first time I've been able to put my Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to excellent use!
With today's two cards there are four possibilities with two more that I haven't shown.
This idea could also be adapted to make a personalised card with somebody's name as long as it's a short name, although a larger card would take a longer name.
I've die cut the letters using the Large Letters Framelits. These are available in the catalogue as a bundle, together with the Letters For You Stamp Set.
It's the most expensive item in the catalogue but for me, it's an investment because I'll keep this set forever!
I'm going to talk you through the card with the Real Red card base as that's the first one I made, but the process is the same for both!
I started with a card base of Whisper White CS, then a layer of Real Red CS and a top layer of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).
This pack comes in a pack of 12 sheets, 2 sheets of single-sided textured designs. In my opinion, there are only two designs that are particularly Christmas designs. I find it so useful that I've bought three packets and I'm concentrating on using the Christmas Designs first.
This will leave me four designs to use during the year on my non-Christmas designs! I adhered the two layers to the card base using Tombow.
I die cut the letters for NOEL from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered them to the top layer, using Tombow varying the height of each letter.
I finished these off by painting the red bows with my Silver Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. Hopefully, you can see this on the close-up photographs near the end.
Then I reached the part I know a lot of crafters don't like, and that's cutting the bells out! It's best to leave a small white edge around the bell and bow.
I did this because Glue Dots are the best way to get anything to adhere to the Glimmer Paper and by putting a Glue Dot on all Dimensionals, you don't have to worry about which Dimensionals will be going over Glimmer Paper!
I hope you've enjoyed today's card. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
