NOEL 2

Hello, Crafters.

I had a lot of fun in my studio yesterday playing with various designs based on the card I shared here yesterday.

I have to confess I came up with some designs I like a lot better than yesterday's card but I'll save those for tomorrow's video.

I'll also share the photographs here in case you don't watch videos.

But for today's card, this is something I stumbled on while I was playing yesterday.

When I'm making die cuts, I go through my scrap wallet for the particular colour or type of cardstock I'm using and sort out the smallest scraps that'll fit the die cut required.

I did this with the Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper and eventually had to start using "decent" sized scraps.

One of them was slightly larger than the piece on the front of today's card and I had a lightbulb moment!

I lined the letters up and measured the size of the cardstock to make sure it'd fit a card front. Voila!

I started with a card base of Whisper White Cardstock (CS), then a layer of Real Red CS and a top layer of Whisper White CS.

I chose two designs from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) that suited my design and adhered them to the card front to sit under the NOEL without showing the joins.

I wanted to tie some ribbon bows to put between the letters of the NOEL but it was too much of a distraction.

I had a look in the box I keep on my desk where I put my "leftovers" from previous projects and found these three bears.

I used some of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine that comes in the Baker's Twine Trio Pack - with Garden Green and Gold - and tied some tiny bows which I adhered to the bears.

I mounted the Noel with Dimensionals and then used Glue Dots to adhere the bears to the Glimmer Paper.

The bear is from the Santa's Sleigh Stamp Set and there is a coordinating die in the Santa's Sleigh Framelits Dies.

I will also be making a video for this card.

I hope you've enjoyed sharing today's card.

Until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
