Hello, Crafters.
I
want to start today with a big THANK YOU to all my customers for the brilliant response I received to yesterday's Incentive Trip Appeal I
launched.
Although I'm not quite there yet, I've been totally bowled
over by the amazing response I've had. I'm in a much, much better
position today than I was yesterday.
THANK YOU to each and everyone you for your support -
all my customers ROCK! ☺
Yesterday
I was also working with some of my team members who were close to
achieving their goals. Two of them were successful and the third one
should be successful today!
Unfortunately, it appears there was a problem with our system yesterday afternoon!
It was very long day yesterday, but an
excellent day - although it did keep me out of my studio, which meant I
didn't make a card to share with you today!
The
card I am sharing today is one of the three projects we'll be doing in
classes over the weekend. I chose this particular card because it
follows on quite nice from my Eskimo card yesterday because I've used
paper piecing for the bells!
If you haven't seen yesterday's blog, I
featured the Eskimo from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and I used the paper piecing technique for his/her outfit.
I
started my card with a base of Early Espresso Cardstock (CS), then a
layer of Cherry Cobbler and a top layer of the Garden Green, Cherry
Cobbler and Very Vanilla stripe design from the This Christmas Designer
Series Paper (DSP).
Using
the Seasonal Bells Stamp Set, I chose the bell pictured at the top left
hand side of the box - the one with two stripes going around it. I took
a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS and a piece of Garden Green CS and
stamped two bells on each piece of CS using Early Espresson Ink.
I
punched the two Cherry Cobbler Bells out - in class tomorrow, I'll do the reverse - and then I cut out
the two stripes from the green bells and adhered them onto the red
ones.
I
took an oblong of Very Vanilla Cardstock and stamped the!! Oh no!! I've just noticed the BEST WISHES
sentiment from this stamp set reads " as the wedding bells ring!"
underneath. Oh dear, what a wally?? LOL!
OK something else for me to
sort out this afternoon. (It's easiest to see it on the fourth photograph!)
Anyway, after adding the sentiment (!!!) I
layered the Very Vanilla onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS and then
layered it onto a piece of Early Espresso. I attached the image in the
centre of the card front using Dimensionals.
My
final touch was to use some Glue Dots to attach two Gold Twine bows to
the tops of the bells.
The twine on today's card is left over from last
year but this weekend we'll be using the gold Baker's Twine that comes
in the Baker's Twine Trio Pack which is on page 16 of the Christmas
catalogue - mine arrived in my delivery yesterday.
Before
I sign off, here's a quick tip I've seen - unfortunately I don't
remember where! If you have a Copper Sharpie Pen, you can colour the
Gold Baker's Twine copper to match the Copper Foil! How cool is that??
That's about it for today. Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
Hi Jan, I would love to help you out, but as you know I'm in Canada. I think that's a stupid rule that Stampin Up has. I wish you the very best of luck and hope you make it...Ann in Canada
ReplyDeleteHi, Ann. Yes it is frustrating but c'est la vie! Many thanks for your good wishes, I do appreciate them. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
DeleteLove this card. I giggled at the sentiment because I did the same thing on a birthday card for my grandson. I didn't notice until he did. Oh well. Good luck on earning your points.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ina. I'm glad I'm not the only one! LOL! Many thanks for you good wishes. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
