Hello, Crafters.
Have you checked out this week's Special Offers? You can buy the fantastic Layering Oval Dies for £24.00 instead of the regular £32.00! These dies are absolutely fabulous - see them on today's tags!
This morning I uploaded my Christmas Cards & Tags Video. These are the cards and tags that fit into the pizza-style box I demonstrated in last Wednesday's video.
In the video, I have demonstrated how to use the new Emerald Envy Glitter Embossing Powder that's available in the Christmas catalogue on page 7. It's also available in Real Red - both colours are absolutely stunning.
For the previous video, I made one box that was predominantly Real Red and one that was Emerald Envy. So I've made one set of these cards and tags for each colour, and followed through with the same design from the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper (DSP) as featured on the individual boxes.
On both the red and the green sets of tags, I used the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine. It comes with two rolls, one in Real Red and one in white with a red metallic thread, which blends brilliantly with the sparkle I've used on them!
I'm off to our quarterly Team Training today, so I made sure I finished off the remainder of my swaps yesterday, although I didn't manage to decorate them all. Swaps should normally be made using current products only but I tend to be flexible with this if it's for Team Training. If the "idea" I'm swapping isn't dependent on the colour or design of the DSP or cardstock I'm using, I try to use my retired leftovers. For today's swaps, I've used my leftover In-Colour 2014 - 2016 DSP Stack because each swap needed a piece of DSP that measured 8" x 8", which would have meant cutting into a total of twenty-two 12" x 12" sheets of my new Christmas DSP! I did make two in a Christmas design, one for our show-and-tell and the other one for our special visitor - Paula Gorry.
Paula is the UK Business Manager for Stampin' Up! We haven't been told what the format of our business training will take today but I'm really looking forward to it. Paula is the person responsible for everything to do with marketing and promoting SU, and probably a million and one other things, too! I've seen her each time I've been to Convention in Telford - she's a great person and does a really fantastic job.
That's about it for today. Happy Sunday and, until tomorrow, happy crafting.
JanB.
