f). A pack of my retired 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

I received today's card for my birthday last Friday from my Canadian friend Geraldine Homenchuk and I just had to share it with you. Geraldine is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so I can identify the products she's used.  (Please correct me if I say something wrong, Geraldine! ☺).

Geraldine started her card with a base of Whisper White Cardstock, followed by a layer of Marina Mist and a top layer of the the retired Sale-a-bration (SAB) Botanical Gardens Designer Series Vellum Stack. Then there's another layer of Marina Mist, same height as previously but about 25% less wide, with a layer of the Mint Macaroon spotty design from the retired Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (DSP). When these four layers had been adhered together, Geraldine wrapped a layer of the Mint Macaroon 1" Dotted Lace Trim around the centre and then adhered it to the card base. In the centre of the card, towards the left hand side is a layer of Marina Mist with a layer of Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper.

Using Archival Basic Black Ink, Geraldine stamped the flower Stamp from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set onto Whisper White. The flowers have been coloured with Lost Lagoon, Perfect Plum and Marina Mist Marker Pens. The leaves have been coloured with Wild Wasabi and Mint Macaroon Marker Pens. Then Geraldine went over the image with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. and then fussy cut the image before adhering it to the glimmer paper.

The dragonfly is from the same stamp set and has been heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder onto Vellum Cardstock. This was then coloured from the back with the Marina Mist Marker Pen and fussy cut. Geraldine then added glitter to the wings and body and adhered the dragonfly onto the flowers using Dimensionals.

The label has also been heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder with the sentiment, which is from the retired Petite Pairs Stamp Set, stamped using Perfect Plum Ink. This was also adhered to the card front with Dimensionals. But Geraldine didn't stop there! Inside the card there is a layer of Marina Mist and a top layer of Whisper White. In the bottom right hand corner, Geraldine stamped the bouquet of flowers and coloured them the same as the front of the card, and finished off with Wink of Stella. The sentiment has been heat embossed in Silver but I don't recognise the stamp set (can you help me out here please, Geraldine?). Finally, Geraldine stamped and painted the flowers on the front of the envelope. Many thanks for such a stunning birthday card, Geraldine.

  1. The "Thoughtful Branches" stamp set looks like a really super set ... really love some of the sentiments in particular and it looks like there will lots and lots of latitude for creative cards to come out of this set, no matter the occasion or the season of the year!
