Night of Navy & Cajun Craze

Hello, Crafters.

Today I shall be at the Warlingham Village Fair, which is being held at Blanchman's Farm Nature Reserve, Limpsfield Road, Warlingham, CR6 9LW. It starts at 10.30am and finishes at 4.00pm.

If you're looking for a fun day out do come along and don't forget to visit the Craft Marquee...........and me! ☺

Yesterday I made my video for tomorrow and I'm very excited about it. I'm showing two techniques you can use that are a little bit different!

I had some left over Copper Embossed images and  decided the use two of them for today's card.
The flower at the top is from the Floral Phrases Stamp Set, the bird is from the Best Birds Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Mixed Borders Stamp Set.

The colour combination I chose for this card is not a regular combo for me but I think Night of Navy and Cajun Craze go together really well - I really must remember to use this again!

I started my card with a base of  Night of Navy Cardstock, then a layer of Cajun Craze and a top layer of a dark background design from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (DSP). I adhered them together using Tombow.

I had already embossed the flower using Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. I cut it into an oblong and layered it onto Cajun Craze. Then I adhered it to the card front using Dimensionals.

I had also already embossed the bird using the Copper Embossing Powder and I die cut it using the Birds & Blooms Thinlits Dies. I positioned the sentiment in the top left hand corner so I had room for the bird.

Using the same embossing powder, I heat embossed it onto a large oblong of Shimmery White Cardstock and adhered it to a piece of Cajun Craze. I adhered this onto the card front and adhered to bird to it using Dimensionals.

Don't forget to check out tomorrow's video!
And if you're looking for a fun day out today, come along to the Warlingham Village Fair - the sun is trying so hard to come out and shine!

I hope you have a great weekend and until tomorrow, happy crafting.

    1. Hi, Pearl. We were blessed with the weather yesterday - no rain but the field at the entrance was a quagmire. But the event was very attended, probably because it was a village event. We had a great day. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
