Flourish Thinlits

Hello, Crafters.

Tomorrow I shall be going to Natalie's Training which means I must get my swaps finished off today - they're made, I just need to add a tag of some sort!

I also have to edit tomorrow's video so that's ready to be posted first thing in the morning. But we.re starting our day with a visit to our dear friend Liz, who lives in Aylesbury.

It's not often I do this but I CASE'd today's card from a Thank You card I received from one of my customers. Not all of her products were Stampin' Up! so our two cards look quite different from each other. Many thanks, Tricia, you're card is stunning!

I started my card with a base of Whisper White Cardstock, then a layer of Pool Party and a top layer of Whisper White.

I embossed the top layer using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. I adhered all three layers together using Tombow.

I took a one inch wide strip of Whisper White and a one and one eighth inch strip of Pool Party to use as a layer.

Using Pool Party Ink, I stamped a sentiment from the  Mixed Borders Stamp Set at the end of the right hand side of the Whisper White Strip.

I adhered this to the Pool Party layer and then adhered it to the card front, approximately a third of the way up from the bottom.

I die cut two swirly cut outs from the Flourish Thinlits Dies using Pool Party cardstock.

The sandwich I used for my Big Shot was the new Big Shot Platform, the Thin Dies Adaptor, the Precision Base Plate, the cardstock, the die, and one Cutting Mat!

The result was a perfect die cut swirl each time.

I adhered one swirl starting from just off centre at the top , coming over to the left and ending on the sentiment strip of Whisper White.

I trimmed off some of the lower part of the second swirl so it filled the bottom section of the embossed area.

Again, using Pool Party Ink and Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped one flower from the Flower Shop Stamp Set and one from the Petite Petals Stamp Set.

I punched them both out using the coordinating punches and curled the petals up on both of them.

I adhered the two together using Tombow and then adhered them onto the Whisper White strip where the two swirls meet.

I painted both swirls and both flowers with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.

My final touches were to add Pearls to the bobble shapes on the swirls; medium size retired Mint Macaroon It's My Party Enamel Dots to the four "flowers" in the swirls; and one large one in the centre of the main flower.

I hope you have a great weekend and until tomorrow, happy crafting,

JanB.
