Telford Sampler 2016

I'm sharing something different with you today! Do you remember in the run up to the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local Convention in Telford on 16th April, I told you I was taking part in the Telford Sampler Swap. In case you missed it, I explained it was made up of three groups of nine people. We all had to make nine identical 8cm x 8cm samples. The only rules were that we had to use current Stampin' Up! products and a selected group of colours. When we had our first break at Convention, we all met at a pre-arranged location so we could swap with the other eight people in our group.

This is what the completed Telford Sampler looks like now that I've had it framed and it's hanging in my hallway!

To make my sample, I used a Soft Sky Card Stock base with a layer of Crumb Cake. Using Crumb Cake ink, I stamped this layer using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set. Using Early Espresso Ink, I stamped the cat and the sentiment from the You Little Furball Stamp Set on to Very Vanilla Card Stock. I die cut the cat using the Circles Collection Framelit Dies. I also die cut a Soft Sky frame for the cat. Before I adhered the frame onto the cat, I pierced some holes around the frame. I adhered this image to the sample using Dimensionals.

I used Soft Sky Ink and the Bordering Bloom to stamp the vine design onto a scrap of Soft Sky Card Stock and then used the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack (which is retiring soon!) to punch out three flowers. I used the banner die from the Large Numbers Dies for the sentiment.
