Oh well, another day in my studio! Yippee!
Last Monday, I worked on my admin so I was totally up to date with everything, and did everything each day so I stayed on top of everything!
Unfortunately, it all went down hill over the weekend, so I spent yesterday morning getting back on top of it!
My first job in my studio, when I was eventually able to go in there in the afternoon, was to make a video.
Once that was done, I set it to download to YouTube, which I knew would take two or three hours.
This was my cue to go back into my studio to make my April thank you cards.
One question that crops up more than any other is what can I do with my Designer Series Paper (DSP) scraps.
The video I made yesterday which I'll be posting on Sunday uses DSP scraps whereas today's cards use left over DSP rather than scraps.
For my card bases I've used our Note Cards and Envelopes which come in a pack of twenty.
The size is approximately 5" x 3.5" which is about 12.75cm x 9cm - which is absolutely ideal for thank you cards.
I've used the same layout for all three cards but with different DSP.
For the first card, I used the Cherry On Top DSP Stack. I die cut the banner using die no. 4 from the Banners Framelits Dies.
Using Whisper White Card Stock and Bermuda Bay Ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations Stamp Set, which will be retiring on 31st May 2016 - so sorry to see this go!
I also stamped a flower from Petite Petals and punched it out using the Petite Petals Punch.
I adhered everything using Tombow.
I don't normally add Pearls or Rhinestones to thank you cards.
On these I put a small drop of Crystal Effects in the centre of each flower after I'd photographed them - I didn't want the Crystal Effects to start running while the cards were standing up for me to photograph them!
This is another product that'll be retiring on 31st May. If you use it, make sure you order some before it sells out!
For the second and third cards I used designs from the Pretty Petals DSP Stack.
The colour scheme for card number two is Calypso Coral and the colour for card number three is Pacific Point.
I've only made about half the amount of thank you cards I normally use each month, so I'll be making more today, after I've finished videoing!
Until tomorrow, happy crafting.
