Botanical Blooms Vellum Flowers & Robin Chick Video

Hello, Crafters.

This morning, I uploaded my video showing how I made my Robin Chick Birthday Card.

I wanted to make a girly card this time, so I used Blushing Bride Cardstock and the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper (DSP). (This is a Sale-A-Bration product and is only available until 15th February 2016)

Would you believe that today's card has been made using the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies?

I'm not sharing this card anywhere else today but here on my blog.

I'm planning to make a video to show how I made these beautiful delicate vellum flowers using the Sale-A-Bration product called Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack (available until 31st March 2016).

The actual layout of this card is very similar to yesterday's Botanical Blooms card but looks so very different.

To make this card, I started with a Pool Party Cardstock base, then a layer of Whisper White and topped with a  Pool Party design from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.

I adhered the top two layers together using Tombow and then wrapped some 3/8" Pool Party Glitter Ribbon around the centre. I adhered it at the back with SNAIL.

I tied a separate bow and adhered that in the centre using two Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Picture Perfect Stamp Set, onto a piece of our plain Vellum Cardstock using Versamark.

I sprinkled this with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.

One of the easy ways to punch vellum, with good results, is to lay it on some cardstock, in this case it's Pool Party, and punch them together with the vellum on top.

The punch I used is the Extra Large Oval Punch.

I adhered the two together using Tombow by applying it very thinly along the lines of NICEST and then on some of the letters of YOU ARE JUST THE.

I find that as the letters are close together, as long as Tombow is applied thinly, it can't be seen once the two are adhered together.

I stamped six large and three small flowers using Pool Party Ink and three single leaves in Mossy Meadow Ink.

It takes a little while for the ink to dry on Vellum but you can speed the process by laying a sheet of kitchen towel over and gently patting.

Unfortunately, this will lift some of the ink. I imagine, although I haven't tried it, you could use your Heat Tool to dry them, but I don't know if the Vellum will curl - I doubt it.

I prefer to put mine on one side and come back later in the day or the next day.

I finished the flowers with one of the Metal Rimmed Pearls.
