Thank You Gifts

Hello, Crafters.

I spent a very relaxing day yesterday making my December customers' thank you gifts.

I'm showing two out of three of my projects here as I don't want to totally spoil the surprise.

On Monday I should receive the free gifts that everyone will receive as a result of using my Hostess Code.

I think they'll be really pleased!

A great deal of the products I've used are retired Stampin' Up! products.

The reason for this is that, because I'm saying a sincere Thank You for being my customer, I don't want to use it as an opportunity to sell current products.

I do worry a little bit that a customer may fall in love with one of the retired products and then be disappointed when they find out it's not actually available.

This hasn't happened yet and hopefully  never will.

This is one of the reasons why I say I'll never win any prizes for being a top salesperson, I'm not pushy enough! LOL!

This is a run down of what I did and the products I used.

I have marked those that are retired products, with the names where I can remember them.

The first project are note books I covered and decorated.

I covered the back and front covers, inside and outside with retired Designer Series Papers (DSP).

I found all four sentiments ready stamped in my stash, so used them.

It's For You is from Amazing Birthday and Wishing You Ridiculous Amounts Of Happiness is from Cottage Greetings and are both current.

I can't remember the names of the other two retired stamp sets, for the sentiments Just For You and I'm So Grateful There' You In The World.

The colour combinations I used are;-

Photograph 1: Soft Suede Card Stock (CS) with Comfort Café

Photograph 2: Melon Mambo CS with Cheerful Treat DSP

Photograph 3: Melon Mambo CS with Beyond The Garden DSP

Photograph 4: Pacific Point with Painted Blooms DSP

All  four of these DSP's in this group are retired.

I used the current Little Letters Thinlits Dies for the word NOTES on each book.

The second project are boxes I made using Cherry Cobbler Card Stock.

The sentiment is from the current stamp set called Amazing Birthday and the ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (retired).

It would appear the only alternatives for Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker's Twine as well as the regular Baker's Twine i.e. with the white wrapped through with the Cherry Cobbler.

The Designer Series Papers are from Timeless Portrait (photographs 5 and 6) and Parker's Patterns (photograph 7) both retired.

That's it for today, so until tomorrow, happy crafting.

JanB.
